General Football Recruiting Discussion

Submitted by maize and brew… on
I decided to make a thread about general recruiting since there has been a lot of thread hijacking going on lately. Since the recruiting season is starting to heat up for the big stars, go ahead and post anything like tweets, facebook, links, you tube links or any information that hasnt been talked about. DO NOT POST ANYTHING THAT IS PAYWALL FROM ANY SITE! I would personally like to see a you tube clip of Yuri Wright.

Um ... go to YT and search for Yuri Wright I bet you could see some clips of him there. As for the rest of the thread this isn't going to go well ... commence the bashing.

Anything you may be looking for can be found with a simple search ...

I'm too lazy to google that for you, but maybe you could do it yourself?

In all seriousness this isn't a terrible idea but it seems like a pointless thread. No need for general recruiting threads. When info arises it will be here momentarily in the form of another thread.

If there has been a lot of thread hijacking going on, how about copying/pasting what the hijackers have posted (and giving credit where credit is due)? And when starting a thread, unless you're just throwing a question out there, it's generally a good idea to provide some sort of material to add to the discussion. Adding a link to a Yuri Wright highlight reel on Youtube is something you could easily do and it would add some benefit to your post.

I think what might be nice for everyone is if we could have ONE sticky thread per recruit.  Either the OP or a Mod would continue to edit the post or diary to include all videos/articles/tweets in chronological order.  Comments would be reserved for general board commentary/breaking new updates for those without edit access (these updates would then be incorporated right at the top).

I don't know if Drupal is really optimal for this though...

Perhaps we can have an easily accessed and utilized system that sorts threads similar to the dewy decimal system. Then, if one wants to see a YouTube video of yuri wright, they could just go to the 870's section of the library and find it. But how can I find a picture if a cat eating spaghetti?
