without a commitment. Garnett and Dunn need to commit to fulfill my recruiting needs. I wouldn't mind Diggs, Darboh, and Wright either. Hint, hint...

this season was awesome in displaying the best of Michigan to a group of 18 year olds who knew first hand nothing but the Tressel domination and the Rodriguez fiasco.  Mix in Hoke and Mattison's recruiting prowess with a 10-2 season and a virtual Michigan family love in, and you have the makings of a great recruiting class.  It also doesn't hurt that Ohio has been shown to have a history of skirting the rules, Penn State harbored an apparent pedophile, and Brian Kelly turns purple screaming at his recruits when they screw something up (while Hoke tells his punter the law of averages means he'll drop a snap every 10,000 times, and don't worry he'll catch the next 9,999).  Let a couple more 5 stars drop into our class, and we can start thinking about competing for a NC in 2013-2015.

I really liked that small sideline exchange that Hoke had with Hagerup as well, the short talk, the pat on the back. Then after the Defense forced them to try a field goal, the camera caught him doing a little fist pump for the fact he hadn't contributed to a touchdown. It was a cool moment in time, no over reaction by Hoke, team/player keeps a positive outlook.

Situations like that define coaches.  I am so godamn proud to be a Michigan Alum when our head coach can use a moment like that to keep perspective and build his players up rather than turn beet-red and scream into his QB's face.... like a certain visor-wearing coach to the south-west of Ann Arbor.

I am a coach myself and I got really inspired by that series of events.

I think Wright is a longshot per his HS coach not allowing him to visit on his bye week.

If Taylor McNamara takes a visit (we should know soon), you can replace him with Wright's name and you have the ideal / most likely scenario there.

Also, don't let my points here fool you - I am an avid fan who has a couple of subscriptions to other sites (Rivals, ESPN).  I'd rank them in terms of liklihood of committing (1 best the most, 5 being the least) as:

1)  Darboh

2)  Dunn

3)  Garnett

4)  McNamara (he's ours if he visits and Garnett commits - otherwise, he will pass)

5)  Diggs (about as high as you can put a guy with 8 teams left; regardless M will take 2 WRs)

Where have you heard this?  I believe you are totally speculating.

I haven't heard TomVH say anything like that, and I know the Rivals' guys stance is "He's opened up his recruitment, which isn't good for us, but then again he didn't commit to ND yet either, so we still have a good shot".

Since I like to speculate (and make it known), I'd bet we get Darboh and then we wait on Diggs if the staff wants him.  If not Diggs, then if Payton wants to commit, we take him - but I'd bet on a guy like Chesson actually.

He didn't commit here because while at ND got the info on their WR commit opening.  May be rethinking after the Stanford domination.

I am still hoping for fallout leaving Noah Spence in our laps. (w/ Garnett, Dunn, Diggs, Darboh and/or Yright/Reeves/Brown)

He's far from a longshot.  That's his high school coach's rule, no visits during the season, and it goes for all his players - they have three top recruits on that team.  Yuri Wright is still very high on Michigan, and I am sure he'll visit as soon as he can.  I still like our chances with him.

Also, Michigan is now the #2 class in the nation to Rivals after Kalis got his 5th star. We were 3rd but we jumped Alabama. Should be a very interesting finish depending on who we end up with.

I think that this is the definition of an illegal post. I am an insider as well and this is totally pay walled. Its not like this was a teaser header on twitter. I am all for sharing info, but this is cheating our old friend TomVH.

There is a reason why I provided a link and stated the information was from TomVH.  If people are really interested in this type of information, they will click the link, pay to become an insider and everyone is happy.  I could see your comment being appropriate, had I not stated my source and provided a link.

If you had mentioned that Tom is writing a blog post that is available on insider later then maybe i'd believe that you were advertising for them, but you gave ALL the information he gave in the forum post, so I think that you went too far with that.

Keep in mind i'm just some random person on the internet, and we are each entitled to our own opinion on this.

I don't think that is how it works.  I just pointed out the main point of the article that will be posted later.  If I took a 4 paragraph post from Tom and copied all of the content and placed it here, then I would be in violation.  In the article Tom may provide Garnett's basis, visit dates, overall impressions, etc.  All I am stating is we are in his top 2.  If Mods deem this action as unfit, please delete.

Whats wrong with them stating that all pertinent info was stolen from Tom. No matter how long they have been on the site, that opinion is valid

The policy of putting a link down after you report all info is idiotic. Who is going to sign up for that info if people are taking it and putting all pertinent info on free forums almost immediately after Tom published it?
