Not every tweet has to do with football...
Take that back
I heard Urban has been blowing up his celly... couldnt get kalis or morris so hes trying for the ultimate flip.
dumb question - Would a coach at one school actually be allowed to contact a player at another school? I can't see why that would come up, but say it's Nick Saban. Could a coach contact a player at another school, for whatever weird reason ? ? ? Now you've got me wondering . . .
But in some cases (USC's sanctions come to mind) that can be waived.
DUDE, its not "regular" its Nacho Cheesier.
Not to mention if he was actually thinking about transferring I don't think he'd make it a public thing by tweeting about it... These guys do have lives outside of football, it's probably about something else.
he's at a point in his career where it doesn't make sense for him to leave. transferring to anywhere meaningful means he's sitting out for a year anyway, and after robinson leaves, its his job to lose. as hyped as shane is, gardner will have 2 years experience in the offense. i really think morris holding a clipboard for a year, learning the offense and getting into a college weight room will be to his benefit.
i want gardner to have his chance, and then give shane the reigns for the next 2-3 years.
He won't be starting until 2013 no matter what, he can either do that at M or another school. The evidence so far is:
M: two years spending night and day living M football,
Anywhere else: rumors based off of thirdhand accounts and Tweets that probably have nothing at all to do with football.
I have heard that he was thinking about transferring depending on Denard. One of my best friends is friends with his highschool coach and he told me about this over a month ago. He also said something about going down and playing with RR. I dont put too much stock into io it because my friend is a rumor mill. But he did mention this right after RR got the job.
You began your post by qualifying your source, then ended it by disqualifying him... Interesting strategy Cotton
I follow Devin on Twitter. I can honestly say that his tweets are all over the place and rarely have anything to do with football.
He's refreshingly goofy and surprisingly candid with his tweets. It could be anything but I really doubt is has anything to do with transferring ...
... he's contemplating how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop.
of the Twittersphere?
Somebody please text a bunch of your friends and figure this out for me. Then post it to my Facebook wall.
The last Devin Gardner Tweet that I recall was the one in which he expressed surprise about Denard cutting off his dreads.
Did Denard cut his dreads? That would be real news to me. They might be where he gets his power from, a la Samson . . .
...it's for real this time. Yep, that's the ticket.
Denard cutting off his dreads is way bigger news than Devin's twitter post. Don't you know that dreads are PROVEN to make you run faster!
Now even Desmond Howardier. Obviously prepping for his Hiesman run.
(A) He loves U of M....(B) He is close with a lot of guys in the program, especially with Denard and (C) Unless Morris comes in and blows the coaches away in practice, Garnder is pretty much a lock for the starting QB job in 2013 (after Denard graduates). It really would not make sense for him to transfer.
If you do not have a personal pre-existing relationship with DG or any other player why are you following them on Twitter/FB/etc? It strikes me as very creepy. At first thought, it seems "sad fanboy" at best and "creepy psycho" at worst. I'm not saying I can't be convinced otherwise but it seems very odd. When I played Twitter didn't exist and for a Facebook account you had to have a valid student email address. Enlighten me, what do you get out of following these guys so closely? Again, assuming you do not have a personal and pre-existing relationship with him/ them, in which case you could just ask him what the tweet means.
I really don't do the twitter, but I disagree with you. A lot of people follow so-called public figures on twitter. It's a fandom thing. Do you think all the people who follow Kim Kardashian or Kanye West know them personally?
Twitter doesn't succeed by people following their friends, it succeeds by normal people following people who interest them - politicians, musicians, and even Michigan football players.
I know its the freep, but snyder posted an article about how he was not considering transfering and is happy to be a michigan man. This was three days ago... pretty sure hes not going anywhere

@ I love you #myguy!! #AllHetero @kdemens25
Oh, duh, he's thinking about if he wants to switch to linebacker!
Is it just me, or does this seem like he's kind of mocking all the tweets recruits have been making lately? I highly doubt he's going to leave Michigan.
I have a lot, lot, lot of thinking to do.
Doesn't mean I'll start supporting Ohio from tomorrow and I'm bailing from Michigan.
I did ... and to be honest, I can't discern a message in any of them, let alone the one about having a lot of thinking to do.
what sit for one more year and be a starter the next? not much of a choise, that is whats is going to happen regardless of if he transfers or not. Shane Morris may be the second comming of Tom Brady himself, only faster and better looking, but he ain't going to start over a senior with talent.
Would that be the Brady who split time with Henson in college??? Was a 6th round draft pick??? So, if Shane is the 2nd coming of Tom, Devine will have a couple of years to play at least!
goes a long way
I bet Gardner is sitting in his room right now laughing that there's a thread about this, after one of his buddies just gave him the link to this thread.
There is no chance this tweet is about transferring. Why would he have to make this decision by tomorrow if he were considering it.
This is twitter gone wild!
98% of the time he tweets about Phineas and Ferb, 1% girl drama, 1% football.
He must be conflicted about what episode to watch tomorrow after workouts.
Whoa. That's a great show.
DG is cramming for a physical chemistry exam tomorrow.
As I told, a Michigan senior marching band member in early 1997, who was thinking of quiting the band, WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? She said she was kind of tired of it, and was gonna drop out. I told her, it's an honor and a blessing to do ANYTHING for Michigan, and she would regret not showing up for her final season. I went to the Ohio State game later that year, saw her in the senior band show, as they were preparing to go to the ROSE BOWL to win the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP THAT SEASON. THINGS LIKE THAT HAPPEN you know!
Devin Gardner can go if he wants to, but MOST who leave Michigan, usually end up regretting it and going nowhere. You won't be the last great Wolverine QB, to basically be on the bench for most of his career, and you won't be the first. But you have a job waiting for you when Denard Robinson graduates, just like DREW HENSON did. He had the greatest season I ever saw from a Michigan QB, including Brady, Harbaugh, Henne, Leach, Wangler, Collins, Elvis, etc.. But look at all those guys who left Michigan when RichRod came in, and look what happened to the program! Michigan is back, and I would hate to be one of the guys who left them hanging, when they just built it back up! And oh by the way, Henson did make the NFL, along with Scot Driesbach, who only played one year too! But for that one year, THEY WERE THE MAN!
Pump the brakes.
Needs more CAPSLOCK!!!!!
Cool story bro
Maybe Tate asked if he could move back to Ann Arbor and be roommates with him and Denard.
He said he was staying after the sugar bowl regardless of what Denard did.
self restraint on this blog. Did it occur that people will purposely post extremely vague tweets just so people like you will blow it all up into something completely different, only to sit back and watch the comedy and nonsense that ensues?
On Facebook it's referred to as Vaguebooking.
