This is upsetting news but I am still hoping that Robinson can make it in early. Unless I missed something, it's still possible that he can EE right?

he misses some spring practices and weight room, he'll be red shirting anyway so it's really not that big of a deal, assuming his committment is still solid, which I assume it is.

Don't know if I agree with you guys about the redshirt. At this juncture, Denard, in spite of a lot of athletic ability, has yet to show he can be a consistently accurate QB. His percentage completion in HS was in the low 40's. Assuming Gardner doesn't show up by Friday, things will be no different for him than they were for Denard. The difference is that you now have experience with Tate and, assuming, he stays healthy for a while, should Gardner show the ability to pick things up quickly, by mid-season you might have a good backup on your hands. Unfortunately, and I am being captain obvious here, you won't know the answer until the first week in September.

I'm almost happy now because it means less of a chance of another freshman starter (heads up guys, starting freshmen is bad).
