I want to think the mgoblog community for allowing me to become part of something so special and helping us reach our goal for the garden project. The rewards took a little longer than we expected but we got them all ordered and as soon as we get the order back you will get your reward. (Side Note) I will be attending my first game in the BIG HOUSE 11-10-2012 I'm tired of watching the games from home and i'm ready to tailgate never got that chance to do it because i was always playing so i'm ready to experience that.

...Mr Odoms. Your humanitarian and noble effort is applauded by many! You're a true Michigan Man. Go Blue!
November 7th, 2012 at 12:55 PM ^
Thanks for stopping in. You're doing a great service to those from your hometown. However, I have some hard hitting questions for you:
1. As a former small (by football standards) player on a major BCS team, are you at all jealous that Doug Martin got the nickname "The Muscle Hamster"? Had that been your backup nickname if Tay didn't pan out?
2. What the hell was up with the Greg Robinson beaver? Part of the "cuttin' wood" theme?
3. Could I beat Denard Robinson in a footrace if he was drunk and wearing roller skates?
November 7th, 2012 at 1:02 PM ^
This should explain the beaver thing. Around 3 minutes.
November 7th, 2012 at 1:07 PM ^
3:54 answers my question about the beaver.
November 7th, 2012 at 1:19 PM ^
Thanks for this. I never knew that.
November 7th, 2012 at 1:43 PM ^
Thank you.
November 7th, 2012 at 1:09 PM ^
But I was always pretty fond of Brian's Tay Odoms = Mountain Goat meme. Mountain Goat beats Muscle Hamster any day.
November 7th, 2012 at 12:59 PM ^
I want to congratulate you on all you have done for the University and your community. I am glad the Kickstarter campaign went so well. The swag was definitely an encouraging reason to donate, but moreso the money is going to a good cause.
Are you going to be stopping by any tailgates this weekend?
November 13th, 2012 at 8:59 PM ^
I want to thank you for your support. I was thinking about coming around and meeting some of the fans and supporters at the tailgate location. But I wasn't sure about how to go about it.
November 7th, 2012 at 12:59 PM ^
Great to have you on the board Martavious. Your efforts for your community are to be applauded! Keep doing great works with your life and you will be a rich man - in all the ways that matter.
November 7th, 2012 at 12:59 PM ^
Enjoy your first tailgate! It's an amazing experience.
November 7th, 2012 at 1:03 PM ^
Any chance you'll get on the field during a TV timeout for a little recognition? You deserve it.
November 7th, 2012 at 1:05 PM ^
You were a joy to watch on the field, I hope you like watching a game how the rest of us have been!
November 13th, 2012 at 9:01 PM ^
I am really not enjoying the regular way of watching the game from home or in the stands and I totally feel what you all feel when you watch the game from the stands or at home. It is very nervewracking.
November 7th, 2012 at 1:07 PM ^
Congratulations on reaching your goal! It is a great cause and it was an honor to donate and be of some help. Have fun tailgating this Saturday as well!
November 7th, 2012 at 1:07 PM ^
It'll probably feel like you're on a recruiting visit again!
November 7th, 2012 at 1:30 PM ^
Its been our pleasure having you contribute to MGoBlog and watching you start your post-college life by giving such a great thing back to your community. You are setting a great example for others and should be very proud of yourself (as we all are of you).
If I can be selfish for a moment, it would be great if you continue to check in here from time to time, especially to drop some of your football knowledge on us all. Regardless, know that you were appreciated by all of us for all that you did on the football field and now for all that you are doing as a representative of Michigan in the "real" world.
November 13th, 2012 at 9:04 PM ^
I really don't like to talk about football because I love to play it so much and I like to be involved but I am working on that and I am trying to get more involved into your community. It is all of us that is working together to set a great example.
November 7th, 2012 at 1:30 PM ^
for who you are on and off of the field Mr. Odums, you truly are a Michigan man, let me know if you want to experience a true Michigan tailgate.
Go Blue!
November 13th, 2012 at 9:05 PM ^
I would like a true tailgating experience if you are up for the task. We are planning our day so send us an email at [email protected]

Current Karma Value is at 4. Very fitting.
November 7th, 2012 at 2:01 PM ^
A Karma value of 4??? Now THAT'S impressive. I mean our fearless leader's Karma value is only a 2 so that's saying something.......
Great work Tae. You are welcome at our tailgate anytime you like!
November 7th, 2012 at 4:42 PM ^
And now his current karma is at 5. If anyone deserves that, it's Tae.
November 7th, 2012 at 10:55 PM ^
and THE_KNOWLEDGE. He's a 5 as well...
November 7th, 2012 at 1:56 PM ^
to contribute to our analytical football discussions. We'd love that!
November 7th, 2012 at 2:07 PM ^
for the block that sprang Denard for his first UM touchdown! You'll not be forgotten.
November 7th, 2012 at 3:15 PM ^
November 13th, 2012 at 9:08 PM ^
I remember that play like it was yesterday and I was suppose to get a reverse but somehow Denard fumbled the snap so he picked it up and started running so I started blocking, something that I enjoy doing and its been history ever since.
November 7th, 2012 at 2:10 PM ^
Thank YOU for giving back to the community and for making us alums/fans so proud.
Go Blue!
November 7th, 2012 at 2:57 PM ^
I am always sad this time of year when Oberon gets harder and harder to find.
November 7th, 2012 at 2:19 PM ^
We're all happy to support a Michigan man doing positive things for his community. Thanks for making a difference and making all of us who love the Maize and Blue proud.
November 7th, 2012 at 2:25 PM ^
Am I the only one that thinks "Tailgating with Tae" would have been a really great reward for the Kickstarter? I will gladly trade my shorts for that.
Thanks for all you're doing, being a GREAT Michigan Man!
November 7th, 2012 at 3:06 PM ^
It should read "Taelgating with Tae." For which I'd donate all the mgoblog points.
November 13th, 2012 at 9:10 PM ^
Let us know where you are tailgating, and you can keep your shorts. Thanks for the support. email us at [email protected]
November 7th, 2012 at 2:49 PM ^
I've always felt for athletes who never get to experience tailgating because you are always playing.
November 7th, 2012 at 2:54 PM ^
Thank you for all that you are doing to give back. You are a tremendous representative of Michigan. Thank you, Mr. Odoms!
November 7th, 2012 at 3:09 PM ^
If I may add . . . if you're going to hit up some tailgating before the game make sure to wear your letter jacket. I fear that some people might not recognize you without your helmet on and not give you the ample amount of free food and pats on the back that you deserve (if you want them, that is).
November 7th, 2012 at 3:21 PM ^
So you are one of those guys who wears his varsity jacket when he went back to his HS homecoming year after year, eh. I don't know if that's a garment that should be brought out of the cedar closet after graduation....except to display in a nice memorabilia case or something to that effect.
November 7th, 2012 at 3:23 PM ^
I am definitely not that guy - I neither purchased a varsity jacket nor do I return for anything HS related. Now if I had a real college letter jacket, that would be a different story!
November 7th, 2012 at 3:32 PM ^
Do you live in Michigan? If not, you could probably buy one of these at TJ Maxx and convince the locals that it were a legitimate letter jacket: (Hall and Oates style mullet not included)
November 7th, 2012 at 9:10 PM ^
November 13th, 2012 at 9:11 PM ^
Where can I get one of those?
November 7th, 2012 at 4:57 PM ^
oops.
November 7th, 2012 at 4:53 PM ^
Speaking of letter jackets, THE Billy Taylor was sitting a few rows away from me at the Michigan State game, and the only reason I knew was because of his jacket.
November 7th, 2012 at 3:16 PM ^
Great work Martavious! It was an honor to be involved in some small way.
Make sure to tell Hoke that he needs to keep recruiting Florida hard. You fellas have seen the bad and been a big part of bringing the program back to good over the last several years.
November 7th, 2012 at 4:59 PM ^
Swag is good, but gardens are better. So glad to be a part of this very positive project!
November 7th, 2012 at 5:30 PM ^
One of my favorite Wolverines of the past decade. Top 5 for sure. And that was just for your spirit and on-the-field play. Now, by taking on this project, you're in your own category. Can't thank you enough.
