Gameday Wakeup Open Thread

Happy Gameday Everyone!  Let the festivities begin.

Just a reminder that the Brock Mealer story will be on the BTN pre-game show today.  Should be worth the watch.

We've all seen every Michigan-themed hype video, so here's a generic (yet pretty sweet) one:

As much as I've looked forward to watching Michigan on Saturday mornings in the past, I've never had the kind of excitement I have had these last two weeks... getting up and knowing that I'll have the chance to watch DRob play.  Like a kid on Christmas morning... I just can't wait...

Watching BTN right now, and they were talking about how Iowa's defense is so good because they've kept opponents' scoring under 30 points for the last 32 games... how the hell does that say you have good defense?

Does anyone know if the DRob story is going to be on the 9am ESPNU Gameday or the 10am ESPN Gameday. I cannot commit myself to watching that much Gmeday for the only story I want to see.

Great video, thanks for the post.  I was hoping they forgot about the Horror.  I was wrong.

Watching BTN now and enjoying some breakfast.  I don't know who the new guy is on BTN, but he makes me feel uncomfortable.  I checked the BTN website but about half their on-air talent has a company logo as their profile pic.

I'm excited as hell to see what happens today with the quarterbacks and runningbacks.....I'm sure RR would like to develop other talent.  Let's see what the boys can do.

And I can't wait for the nightcap.  I am anticipating an epic State meltdown.  That would enhance my day.

Well, good afternoon for me already over here in Belgium. Thanks for the video, I watched that awhile back, still is a good one.

Looking forward to the game today, hope we play well and get everyone some time in the game.

Should be a great day! GO BLUE!!

One of the best mass-produced beers available here in the States, but you're right about Jupiler and Duvel. Duvel is really good stuff, and I might remember a few nights when I had more than one.

Gameday being @ Auburn only means there are no really good games between ranked teams today. I would have had them go to ASU, imo. Glad they didn't go to MSU, that would have fed lil bro's ego. My guess is that if everything else is even, they will pick a southern school to be at, maybe for the ladies. I can't blame them for that.

Anyone else watching this "Big Ten Tailgate" show with these clowns doing random stuff at Illinois? First off, why trick me into fliping to your channel implying there is going to be something about football? Second, how did this show, with these hosts ever get on the air?  I need to start sleeping until Gameday/BTN Preview shows start.

This Boise St. discussion is crazy to me - after 2 weeks, I don't think anybody should be putting a "ceiling" on how high Boise St. can rise.  Yes, they don't play the type of schedule that usually deserves to play for the MNC, but at some point BSU can only win so much before people have to reevaluate this thinking.  No, I don't think they should play for the MNC if a couple of top teams have 1 loss, but I also think they should be ahead of any 2-loss team in America if they go undefeated.  And for Saban to say that he plays a super-tough schedule in the SEC and thus he should always be given the benefit for the doubt over non-AQ teams, look no further than Utah 2 years ago.

In the midst of ZOMG DENARD, which I am also excited to see, I think it could be interesting to see how Devin Gardner reacts to extended playing time. If that turns out to be the case.

Other than that, just win baby.

Defensively we are as bad as we thought we were before the season started.  Lucky enough for us we have Denard and he was able to carry us to two wins against big time opponents.  Teams like Wiscy, Iowa, and MSU are licking their chops to pound the rock against this defense, and that makes me sick. GERG needs to get it together, I realize our lack of experience but this is an FCS team made up of misfit transfers and they've taken it to our defense all day.  If it weren't for Denard we would be seeing App State 2.0
