I don't think they changed Les at all actually
Gameday Prediction Thread
but my Maize-colored glasses only see so far.
We are without our primary punter, without one of our most experienced defensive backs (& replaced by a special teams player), without our # 1 RB, our Offensive line has arguably been our weakest position group all year.
We have our primary QB either still slightly injured, or practicing at positions that he hasn't practiced in 4 years, (luckily the back-up QB has all of 5 starts) virtually no competent back-up RB, a suspect OC, an antiquated punt formation and we are essentially playing an away game. Also, as much as I appreciate Hoke, I'll give the In-game coaching edge to Spurrier.
Our D will keep them in it, but just barely.

I'm not saying your points are incorrect, and I predicted a 20-13 win by South Carolina.
BUT South Carolina has its weaknesses, too, including missing their starting running back and a weak offensive line.
Which is one of the reasons I don't see a blowout (plus I didn't want to ramble into a complete pro vs con post). I'll still give them the edge in the backup RB dept.
Our D will hurry, pressure, & hopefully manhandle Shaw; but their dink& dunk passing may still pose a problem.
I guess to me it looks like Michigan is at risk for the "Death from a thousand cuts" scenario. Too many little disadvantages adding up to yards & points.

If Borges somehow does manage to pull his head out of his ass he could do Denard a huge favor featuring him in a RB/Slot role (re: NFL Draft).
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
Michigan All The Points, South Carolina The Rest.
Avatar is a reference to this. Go Blue!
If Borges utilizes the Devin/Denard duo and plays much more aggressively and our defense is able to shut down Thompson and Shaw in the pass game, I think we have a great shot of winning today. I also think special teams will end up being an X factor by the end of it all as well. I'm going to stay optimistic and say Michigan, 31-28. Gibbons has another brunette girls moment with 30 seconds left.
2013 will be the year.
Michigan 28-27. B. Gibb,71 yarder as time expires.
All in for some manball.
I'll send him a cup of my blood.

His new hair cut will give him the extra 35 yards.
All in for some manball.
Had a dream that Denard returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown.
Go Blue.

I'm not confident on Borges to have an effective game plan. That, combined with our suspect offensive line and lack of RB production means our offense is in serious trouble. We will be relying on a solid, turnover generating defense (haven't done much of that this season) and USC offensive mistakes.
Could be a long day for us today if Borges expects his 2nd half Ohio state gameplan to work. That said, I'm open to pleasant surprises.
HAIL.
How can Borges game plan be separated from the fact the OL is suspect, his starting RB is out and his QB will be making his fifth start?
Love it or hate it, the core of Hoke ball is lining up, looking your opponent straight in the eye and defeating him...not tricking him.
Go Blue! Send Denard, Roh, Kovacs and all the seniors out as winners.
Lewan pwn's Clowney and says he's coming back for his Senior year. True MICHIGAN MAN
Run right up the middle with 180 pound rbs we might have a chance.

We hate Michigan State. We don't like Penn State too. We don't care for Minnesota, Wisconsin or Notre Dame but we all hate O-S-U.

I have a feeling Borges shocks everybody and goes bat shit crazy with the playbook today.

I actually agree with you on this one. I think Borges knows he messed up the Ohio game, and he's not going to make the same mistakes this game. I expect our offense to actually do pretty well.

If we pull out all the stops, a la the '08 Capital One Bowl, then victory is ours. If not, well...
Brandon's new bowl jerseys will include a scrolling LED display on the chest which Al Borges will use to inform the Gamecock defense that, yes, this play will indeed be a run.
Jake Ryan declaring for the draft will seem like a real possibility.
Denard scores a magical but ultimately meaningless touchdown.
South Carolina 13 Michigan 7

Did anyone see corso's picks? I didn't. I can't stand him.
Did he pick mich or SC?
If he picked SC...did he put a cock on his head?
Sry. I had to. Inappropriate, I know. Haha.
What every longshot, come from behind, underdog will tell ya is this... The other guy, may in fact, be the favorite. The odds may be stacked against you, fair enough. But what the odds don't know is...this isn't a math test.

I think we get demolished. Something on the order of 35-6. Our offense has struggled to put points on the board against elite defenses since 2008. Without a running game, I just can't see how we put up points against this pass rush. I hope to hell come 4pm I am proven wrong, but as it sits I just don't see how this works out well for us.
