Gameday / Early Games Open Thread

Submitted by gwkrlghl on

The blog returns. Gameday is in Fargo. All of the noon games are boring. Actually Minnesota takes on San Jose State which features David Fales, a QB with legit NFL prospects. Will be interesting to see Minnesota against it's first non-abysmal competition. Upset watch in Minneapolis

True. That said, this game and Ohio's blowout of FAMU is not making me feel any better about Michigan's performance last week. Minnesota has come back from halftime and taken over the game against a team that has some positives. Michigan didn't do that, and it is making me depressed the more I think about it.

I hate being that guy. I just want to see our guys dismantle UConn tonight so that it will cleanse the palate. I really can't handle another game like Akron...

(I was at The Horror and The Horror II. I may have college football PTSD...)

about whether our coaching staff really has this team heading upward, or if we can look forward to another season of struggling in every game.  Other Big Ten teams are clearly improving...if we aren't, expect a mediocre 7-5/8-4 finish and a lot of excuses from the Hoke/Mattison lovers here.

Put it this way this Minnesota game was supposed to be competitive. Definitely a nice step for them. Also good since our staff can say this is not going to be the same Gophers team from the last couple of years.

Almost 900 yards of offense now in the Minnesota / San Jose State game. Nearly half of it is David Fales, and another third of it is Mitch Leidner, who has a very Big Ten name, now that I think about it.
