Game Time for tOSU announced-- noon
Heard it in the audio of the press conference today as it sounded like an aide came in at the end and announced it to the writers. I also thought I heard Angelique giggling and saying "yeah!" when it was announced, but I could be wrong without video of the reporters.
Also, it will be national TV on ABC.

I believe it is always noon, save for the 2006 play-in game.

My whole life just crumbled before my eyes. I am just an idiot...they USED to play it at 1 for the longest time.
/my memory, it's gone...

as the noon Ann Arbor-3:30 Columbus arrangement is where things stand now. I rarely like noon games but I like this one at noon in AA.
November 9th, 2009 at 8:03 PM ^
I heard that it's a night game and we are wearing maize tops, white helmets, and black pants. Could have just been a rumor...
November 9th, 2009 at 8:34 PM ^
I misread your "wearing black pants" comment to mean "starting Taco Pants" ... not good!!
November 9th, 2009 at 8:48 PM ^
I'll take Tacopants. He was a threat to go deep at least.
OMG, wait... did I just wish for...
The Return of Tacopants
(movieguy voice) "In a world of hopelessness and despair, one man rose out of history, to lead a ragtag group of lost souls, back to their destiny... to victory... to championships... to glory... and to one lucky lady.... This Friday, witness John Navarre, Jason Avant, Rich Rodriguez, and introducing Ella McClaighorn in... The Return of Tacopants" (/movieguy voice)

This is most likely a loss, regardless of what time it is played at. My only hope is that BG criples Boren and I will have a moral victory.
November 10th, 2009 at 12:38 PM ^
They may win this game, they may win the Big Ten championship, but THEY CANNOT TAKE AWAY OUR FREEDOM!!!
November 9th, 2009 at 8:12 PM ^
Noon kickoff is way better. If UM loses, I have time to delve into other things the rest of the day to get my mind off of the pain. More heavy drinking, for example.
If Michigan wins this game, then ditto more time to drink heavily and not be productive.

At high noon on ABC--the way God intended.
November 9th, 2009 at 9:12 PM ^
A cloned Keith Jackson circa 1992/3 and culturally insensitive Bob Griese, it'd be perfect.
"Whoa nellie, this is the game that two midwestern states have shed sweat and tears over near since the dawn of time, or at least since the waters of Toledo ran red with blood. Grizzled field generals with names like Brown, Bump, Woody, and Bo have stalked the sidelines of this game like Hannibal facing Rome, or Rommel facing Patton in the desert. We are in for a barn burner."

man i miss keith jackson.
November 9th, 2009 at 11:05 PM ^
And Bo too. Let's shock the world.

And speaking of God -- for good measure, I've decided to join all the world's religions for the next two weeks. Hedging my bets...

I hope you don't forget $cientology! Say hi to galactic emperor Xenu for me!
November 9th, 2009 at 8:52 PM ^
I hate it being at noon. Be 3:30!!!!!!!
November 9th, 2009 at 9:11 PM ^
Even though it's traditionally a noon game, I'd rather it be a 3:30 because the build-up for the 3:30 games (from my experience so far) has been far better than for the noon games. Just my two cents, though.
November 9th, 2009 at 11:57 PM ^
Yeah 12:00 games just seem to pop on, they run Gameday all the way up to kick off, and then you're there. 3:30 has a nice 10-15 minute build up, and you've had you football warm up for the day.

Time for UM to break that annoying streak - anything can happen! ...The '95 and '96 games will always give me reasons to be optimistic going into games like this where UM has no business winning
November 9th, 2009 at 10:04 PM ^
'announced' a while back. I don't have the link, but checked on mgoblue.com a couple of weeks ago and it was on there then. They don't usually make announcements regarding game times...
November 9th, 2009 at 10:13 PM ^
noon games anymore - so I wonder what announcing team we will get.
Herbie and Musberger perhaps?
November 9th, 2009 at 10:15 PM ^
I'm still trying to figure out why they stopped the noon games on ABC. The BTN taking too much of the supply away? Networks not getting enough ratings with the BigTen to overtake the Saturday cartoons?
November 9th, 2009 at 11:12 PM ^
when they started doing the 8pm games; they turned the Noon slot over to ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, etc.; they're all owned by Disney.
November 9th, 2009 at 10:21 PM ^
I am pretty sure Herbie can only do the later games because of the game day gig. Typically has to fly to wherever.
November 9th, 2009 at 10:33 PM ^
The only other recent ABC noon game I can recall (this year) was the Red River Rivalry, and Gameday was there, so Herbie and Musberger called it. It generally depends on where Gameday is, since, as has been stated, Herbie has to fly out to where the game he is calling is.

Why are there never any night games at Michigan?!?!?! One of the most memorable games that i have ever seen was when we played Penn State in 2005. At that point, i was a michigan fan, but i wasnt into football at all. I just was watching it because it was the only thing on. But that game was sooooo amazing, it got me to become the hard core michigan fan i am today. I know it wasnt technicaly a night game, but that last play with only one second to go was in the dark. I cant explain it, but there was something so magical about that game, with the lights shining off the helmets.....ahhhhh. Good memories. I have never seen a game there that actualy started at night since ive been watching. Anyone feel the same way?

Answered your own question.

pros and cons of night games have already been discussed here. Many times. Too many times. If you type "night game" into the search box in the upper left (include the double quotes), and click on the magnifying glass, you'll find over 10 pages of previous threads for your reading pleasure.

Osu Vs Michigan night game would be exciting but lets face it. Nobody want's to be stuck in traffic from the end of the game till 2 in the morning.
November 9th, 2009 at 11:54 PM ^
For an exciting game and a close finish. I'd love to see Michigan stop OSU's streak this year but it's not going to be an easy task. Our defense is going to have to be more solid than the Union forces on Little Round Top. Were going to have to play almost perfect football to beat these bastards but man it can be done! We can beat these sons of bitches this year! Our Wolverines can do it they just have to unleash that inner beast!
November 10th, 2009 at 2:34 AM ^
Let's beat the hell out of those bastards!
November 10th, 2009 at 2:56 AM ^
well anything is better than a 8:30 game on big ten network with pam ward being the special announcer....
