I believe it's been known they were going to play Friday, but it just came out that it's at 7:15pm per ncaa.com

Nantz is worse. Hate that we get their worst pairing. Would even prefer Reggie Miller, because at least Len Elmore is cool.
Wanted Uncle Verne and Raftery, obviously.
March 23rd, 2014 at 10:51 PM ^
Respectfully disagree. He kind of seems like a prick, but I think he's the best in the game.

I'm not sad to he avoiding those guys.
I would have totally agreed with you before this weekend. I really didn't enjoy Lundquist/Raftery this weekend. And it wasn't just the Aaron Craft love poem. I thought they were off on all the games they did.
Despite some awkwardness, I have to say that I actually liked Reggie Miller's color. Though with the headphones on, you can't see the ears -- it doesn't even look like him!

Gonorrhea: at least it's not Syphilus!

I will take Nantz over Reggie Miller all day.
Reggie Miller's voice is like nails on a chalkboard.

I hear Stauskas is more than just a shooter.

I like how on the bracket it says michigan plays at 7:15 and lousiville plays at 7:45, going to be an interesting game with 4 teams on the court.
March 23rd, 2014 at 10:31 PM ^
I'd think the Louisville/Kentucky matchup probably commands better ratings in those prime hours?
*edit* Guess not, it was was just adjusted again, those two are now the later game.
Up by 45 points at halftime, and advance to play L'ville the same night in the elite eight after the entire UK team mistakenly declares for the draft and hires agents.

Can we get Bruce Pearl to come back and coach one more for the Vols? In return we get Novak back to play the 4 next to Morgan.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. [Edit: This only makes sense on the mobile app, where the post from "no joke its hoke" appears. The guy even messed up a homophone in his username.]

How bout these idiots on the UVA-Memphis breaking down the Tenn - MSU matchup. Stupid.
March 23rd, 2014 at 10:40 PM ^
Tennessee and then the winner of UL/UK is a tough weekend.
That said, if we get past the former, the latter may be quite spent....
The winner of Louisville - Kentucky will have an emotional hangover. It will be hard to get back up to that level for the next game.
March 23rd, 2014 at 10:40 PM ^
Announcers in the Virginia blowout already talking about how we don't have the answers for Tennessee down low. Someone tell JMo and piss him off again.

The talk about Michigan being weak against physical teams is so overplayed. Yeah, it's true we're not built to deal with dominant big men. You know what most teams aren't built to deal with? Three 6'6+ wings who can hit threes at a 40% clip, handle the ball like point guards, and throw down alley oops 2 feet above the rim, all on the court at the same time.

I really like us going into the Tenn game with the team feeling like a disrespected underdog. We play much better with a chip on our shoulder. We get a little lethargic when we are the big favorite.
March 23rd, 2014 at 11:08 PM ^
Sadly, Tennessee is equiped with just as much length on the wings. I still think UM wins due to the probably 3 point differential and transition points.
March 23rd, 2014 at 11:09 PM ^
Length, but not skill.
March 23rd, 2014 at 11:18 PM ^
I'm not sure I agree with that. McRae held Devyn Marble to 7 points on 3-15 shooting. He scored 20 pts on the other end. Richardson looks the part, as well. They are a talented starting unit... I wonder about their depth...
March 23rd, 2014 at 11:29 PM ^
All three of Michigan's wings (and obviously I'm using that term very loosely) are likely future NBA first round picks. Tennessee simply cannot match that talent level, which is why they had 7 losses in the nation's worst major conference.

Three, actually. Kentucky's the other two. Beat Virginia.

You sound pretty damn confident along with some other. Let us revisit this Friday night.
March 24th, 2014 at 12:01 AM ^
Why shouldn't he be confident? We lost 2 NBA first rounders and a pre-season all american, and still won the B1G by 3 games. We've proven we're a better than good team. Sometimes there's too much self loathing going on in this fanbase. Must be the football teams affect on it the last few years. Its nice to see some confidence. Its not like he's disrespecting the opponents. We have every reason to feel confident about our teams chances with any of the 15 teams left in the tournament.
March 24th, 2014 at 12:07 AM ^
Agreed. There's way too much self loathing in this fanbase. It has always been there even when we were ranked # 2 and 11-0 in 2006.
March 24th, 2014 at 12:51 AM ^
Yes sir, I am confident. I've seen what Beilein does to teams for whom he has a week to prepare, and it's usually not pretty.
March 24th, 2014 at 12:14 AM ^
performance on Marble by saying that he basically picked Marble up early and never let him get comfortable. First of all, Marble wasn't playing in a Beilein offense and second, it's not like Stauskas hasn't faced about every defensive approach. While I agree with McRae that disrupting and otherwise not letting his man get comfortable is the way to attack it requires him to be pretty comfortable with what his opponent is going to do. Easier said than done against a Beilein offense.

Hurry, downvote the guy for disagreeing and actually offering a different opinion. Some of you guys are ridiciulous.
