So you don't want the officials to decide the game by calling a flagrant foul that is flagrant, but you do want them to call the foul to decide the game in Ohio's favor - the foul by contact from Burke where Craft is initiating as much contact as Burke is... right.  What a dick.

Aren't they paying attention?  In the Big Ten you're supposed to allow the home team all kinds of contact.  Questionable calls are supposed to go to the home team.  Don't they remember the crew at Indiana that let put back slam attempts over the backs and into the bodies of our defenders go?  And five or six steps that get continuation calls?  What they hell conference do they think they're officiating in?

Man, we are in deep shit going into Breslin.  We are going to get. beat. up.  If we can't get some officiating love at home, up in Izzo land we're screwed.

I can't defend Vitale. But Tirico lives in Ann Arbor and is a big Michigan fan.

Just because he's not biased doesn't mean he's bad at his job. Stop sounding like Ohio fans and Herby...

Did you not hear Tirico talk about Jake Ryan? Called him an awesome player.

Name one other basketball analyst who even knows who Jake Ryan is.

As others have said, sorry for the excessive pessimism, just a roller coaster ride of emotions. Definite frustration flagrant on Craft there. Hell of a home win.

and knowing that a bunch of Ohio fans will be going to bed pissed off tonight, means this guy is going to bed with a smile on his face. Beating Ohio is always sweet.

So the refs were afraid to call a flagrant foul because it would "determine" the outcome. I thought their job was to call the game according to the rules. Would be wise if the refs got back to that and did it the whole game.

But damn disappointed in how many fair weathered pussies came out of the wood work on the board tonight. Those of you slamming Burke and the other Michigan players and coaches are welcome to jump off the band wagon as fast as you jumped on.

Yes, because, as a fan you are never in a position where you are disappointed or even downright angry at your favorite team and maybe, in a heated battle with an archrival, you go a little overboard with the pessimism.

I get the whole don't put the kids on blast thing, but saying "FUUUCKKKK, why is GR3 disappearing" is a common reaction to the kid not playing well.

Being disappointed at times comes with the territory. But go back and read some of the comments again. They were not nearly as innocuous as your example. Curious how many of the more vicious personal attacks would be uttered while in the stands in Ann Arbor. People "keeping it real" like that might get their ass whooped.

It's easy to to be supportive when you're up comfortably. It's the hallmark of a front runner. It takes guts to cheer, to cheer even harder when you're down and things look grim. I'm glad the team showed more character than several posters here tonight.

Sorry for the length of this but I am so confused, I have read on so many blogs and been to so many site's and even read on this site people praising Aaron "The Hack" Craft (as I refer to him) for being such a great defender while many times in the same post admitting that he is a foul machine that basically gets away with murder or putting it in a very PC manner describing Mr.Hack as a "hands on", "very physical" player?? Dick Vitale almost made my ears bleed tonight talking about how great a defender Craft is to stay in front of Burke and others while the TV screen is showing The Hack impeding the progress of Burke and any other offensive player with his hands and upper body EVERYTIME. Look almost anyone and - ANYONE who is talented enough to play D1 BBall - can play great defense when they are allowed to use their hands to "body up" and slow down the opposing player’s progress - That is not good defense that is ILLEGAL defense that should draw a foul EVERYTIME. If anyone else would consistently play like that they would foul out 5 defensive possessions into the game. So I know I am preaching to the choir here but NO Craft is not great, Craft is a hack, he is a player that for some reason beyond my comprehension is allowed to do continuously what no one else in the game is allowed to do. The one thing about I will give to The Hack is that he has heart and competitiveness, and seems to be a pretty honest guy, when asked what the key to his defense is, from what I understand he said that he just fouls the other player on every play, stating "they can't call a foul on every play." Well I can admire his honesty and how hard he plays, but to praise him for being such a great defender, is to praise the guy that gets away with robbing the corner store at gunpoint - for being such a Smart Shopper.

Once again sorry for the length - just had to get that off my chest -
