Game previews from around the Tennessee interwebs
Did a little googling and found a few interesting game previews from around the interwebs.
Already referenced in the thread about UT message board-stalking, but here is a big one. Stalk away! Just don't troll and be THAT GUY. You know what I mean.
This one has a lot of quotes from players and the coach (bruce pearl). They talk a lot about Michigan's relative lack of size (ie, Novack at the 4), but recognize (without saying it explicitly) that he's a gritty little bugger.
Some guy at Rocky Top Talk thinks Michigan looks like an older version of Tennessee:
This guy thinks Beilein is the basketball version of Gus Malzahn. I'd say it's the other way around =P They also have a fairly pessimistic poll for a home site (only 60% think UT will win), as well as more quotes. My favorite? Basically, I'm not looking ahead, but I am.
“We can’t afford to look past Michigan; they beat Michigan State twice this year, and that tells you everything you need to know,’’ Vols junior Scotty Hopson said. “But it would be awesome to play Duke; that would be a big stage for us.’’
As for UT's student paper, it hasn't been updated since before the SEC tournament started last week. Go figure. The Michigan Daily, otoh, has been updated constantly since the weekend. Seriously, 4 columns since the selection, including this gem by Chantel Jennings.
And another one from the good guys, courtesy of that Otto dude with the terrible nickname at MLive. I don't know that I'm as over-the-top optimistic as him, but do expect a positive outcome Friday. Over lunch. From the bar.

So the vols fanbase agrees, Michigan is more than meets the eye.

So are we Transformers now? Do we get to be the Autobots or the Destructacons?

Can you imagine how powerful our offense would be with a dreadlock laden Optimus Prime?

I was about to call you out re: Decepticons, but holy crap! There really ARE Destructicons now!

More than meets the eye... but not like Transformers: 2, because that was a bucket o' crap.
I always think volnation.com looks like violation.com. It makes me happy.
