Who had Michigan and the points?
The Game Open Thread
Michigan outplayed OSU by a small margin but were done in by some luck and a bad call on the non-fumble.
It's heartbreaking to lose such a close one and it should have been a much better year. But now there's much more hope for next year. That's not a small thing after recent weeks.
when you REPEATELY Fail...Close dont cut it
You are not a good speller.
I endorse this statement.
Who do we want to win next week?
Also, this should not hurt our recruiting.
Any of you who act like you are so happy that we were just in the game are idiots. We LOST, who cares what the f'ing score was. At the end, no one cares if it was by 1 point or not. Ask any UM player if they feel better about losing by just 1 point. Losing by 1 makes you a 1 point LOSER.
moral victories are for LOSERS..Michigan has now lost 12 of the last 14 games against Ohio...when is enuf enuf? This will continue as long as Hoke is Coach..Everytime he gambles he LOSES...
Losing does suck, but that happens. What matters is how you got there. UM has nothing to be ashamed of. They played well enough to have a chance to win the game and came up short.
We all are disappointed, but I for one am proud at the effort put forth. You can rant and rave all you want, but that won't change any of us "idiots" minds.
Read what you said. It's about how you get there....serious? I am ashamed to give up 42 points to any team. 7-5 is NOT ACCEPTABLE! We had a "chance" to win with 30 secs left in a game at home. Our defense was horrible today. That's how we "Got There." If all that works for you, then you be happy that we just "had a chance.". Look at the season as a whole and this just tops off a bunch of "almost" had a win season. We should have lost at least 2 more (Akron, Conn). Grip that!
This was a good, close game when I certainly didn't expect one. I think it was good coaching to get the team to play this well and not mail it in.
But this coaching staff is awful! Spiking the ball and wasting a down when you have a timeout??? Staying in the same formation after OSU called a timeout before the 2-point conversion? How about getting Gardner out of the poscket and using our 2 huge TE that have been a mismatch the whole game?
Had more to do with the kicking game.
However, I still don't like the decision. Not at home. And the play call on the conversion was awful with a horrible read by Gardner. He hurrie and choked.
OSU had 35 seconds to get within field goal range. Judging by how poor UM's defense was playing that very well could have happened.
There is no way UM is stopping OSU in overtime.
Should of just singled up funchess and threw the fade.
I think he had it if he ran up the middle but easy for me to say.
Hoke made the right call! That was just a sorry play call and even worse decision by Gardner! Oh well, hate to say it but, go Spartans. I hate ohio
Quit bitching the two point call was for a reason, we got nothing to loose and they have a ton.. If we had a better record i am sure hoek would have been more conservative
It's not the result we wanted but dang was that a heck of a game. Just kudos to our guys for fighting with every last tooth and nail. I saw a lot of good things. Most of all I am proud of then for truly never giving up or backing down an inch and believing there was hope when I had none.
Good on you Michigan. Yes, thank you Al for calling a good game. Just wish we had done more of this earlier in the season.
It obviously sucks that we loss, but in truth I was expecting this game to be a blowout anyway. I'm proud of the offense for playing there hearts out and DG not quitting to the very end.
It was Mattison and the D that really let us down with their inability to do anything in regards to stopping the run D and highlights how bad our inferior line is on both sides of the ball.
Borges did what he could and for now has bought himself some time and it was a gutsy, but correct call from Hoke to go for two. He knew that Wile could possibly blow and if he didn't our defense would. Took a gamble and came up short, the loss hurts, but in hindsight the team did what they could. Hopefully Little Brother kills them in the B1G Championship and I'll be happy.
I do think MSU should be able to handle Ohio.
