The Game - Halftime Thoughts

Submitted by tjyoung on
Yes. Halftime thoughts. At a place where I cannot hear commentary and unable to load entire 1st half thread. How is the offensive playcalling? How is the defense handling Miller? Would love to see the thoughts of the first half so far. Thanks, and Go Blue!

Different offense today. Quick hitters, big plays, successfully running the ball. Miller is getting his, however, I think overall, the defense is playing well. Ohio is very talented.

The defense is not capable of stopping Hyde up the middle and OSU is going to pound it, so just bring a safety up and shoot up the middle to take Hyde away. The safeties are worthless in coverage anyway.

Hyde eats safeties for team meal. Bring in another big if you take away a safety... The question I am asking my self is, how many times can Furman get beat deep in one game? The o/u is set at 5.5.

I don't care if Borges puts up 75 and wins, I still think he needs to go. You can't have one good game plan every five games and keep your job at Michigan. If anything this game shows that Michigan's offense is capable of scoring points with the personnel they have and they haven't been.

That said, offensively they've played as good as you could hope for. Defensively they've been ok besides the d line at times and some safety play on big plays.

I didn't like them leaving 45 seconds on the clock and one time out on their own 30 and not trying to move the ball into field goal range or at least to Hail Mary territory when you have Funchess. I don't get why they were so conservative there.
