The Game - Halftime Thoughts
Different offense today. Quick hitters, big plays, successfully running the ball. Miller is getting his, however, I think overall, the defense is playing well. Ohio is very talented.
Devin was incredible in the first 20 minutes, but is starting to morph into shell shocked mode
Ohio will make adjustments. What will we do?
The defense is not capable of stopping Hyde up the middle and OSU is going to pound it, so just bring a safety up and shoot up the middle to take Hyde away. The safeties are worthless in coverage anyway.
Hyde eats safeties for team meal. Bring in another big if you take away a safety... The question I am asking my self is, how many times can Furman get beat deep in one game? The o/u is set at 5.5.
Started slowing down towards the end of the half. I have little faith in the defense's ability to adjust, we're just not up to their level. So game rests on Borges lol
It's amazing that you can take the first half of this game and somehow be completely negative. Only on this blog.
He's probably watched Michigan over the last few years where we have success in the first half and then go completely away from what was working in the second half...
There's a diff between delusional pessimism and realistic pessimism
Um what about this team gives you any faith for the second half, especially as the team tailed off at the end of the first half.
I told you so, so I will
But I called it it 10000%
Al needs to get back to his aggressive playcalling.
There is an open thread for this.
relax. personally, i see a 500-post thread and think, "eh, screw it."
That first half was great. It's going to a special place in my Michigan feels. Hoping the second half is even better.
holy shit we scored three offensive touchdowns!
Attack! Attack!! ATTACK!!!
And don't stop attacking!!!!!
If we lose this game based on turnovers it will be easier to swallow than losing based on vanilla play-calling.
I'll take Urb over Brady on halftime adjustments.
My thoughts. Until we make better adjustments and dominate second halves of games.
I don't care if Borges puts up 75 and wins, I still think he needs to go. You can't have one good game plan every five games and keep your job at Michigan. If anything this game shows that Michigan's offense is capable of scoring points with the personnel they have and they haven't been.
That said, offensively they've played as good as you could hope for. Defensively they've been ok besides the d line at times and some safety play on big plays.
I didn't like them leaving 45 seconds on the clock and one time out on their own 30 and not trying to move the ball into field goal range or at least to Hail Mary territory when you have Funchess. I don't get why they were so conservative there.
Serious question and not a rhetorical one: how would our fanbase/alumni/administration react if one of our players flipped-off an entire stadium after an ejection?
I was the only one who saw this- from the opposite 50-yard line. Thank God I'm
Not delusional like most ohians
It was shown live on National Television.
I thought it was funny and would think it was funny in reverse?
Borges better not go full retard this half.
I bet we get shut out this half.
I hate to tell everyone that I warned you guys our defense wasn't good. It hasn't been all season. Always exposed by decent offenses.
