Clements has supposedly made his decisions for some time now, but won't say who until signing day (or maybe it was an AA game?). It doesn't appear to look good for Michigan.
Gainer is a guy I haven't heard much about in a while. I think Michigan is still in it, but this is sort of based on a lack of information that says we're out.
FWIW, Scout is also very high on Clements, but "meh" on Gainer (I think rated in the 30s and a 3* as compared to a top-250 4* by Rivals).

We had a good chance with both. I don't think it's right to say anything in either direction with either recruit. Just b/c we haven't heard much news from either doesn't mean that we've fallen down their lists at all. In fact, it's good news. Both have been very quiet and the last time they opened their mouths it was in favor of Michigan. Clements is a longer shot, just b/c his mother really wants him to go to Miami. Either way, we really only have one for sure running back commit in this class, as drake is definitely playing slot, Dileo could either play slot or even safety, but he won't be playing running back, and Hopkins could possibly play middle linebacker. Most likely Hopkins will play RB, but even if that were the case, we would only have two commits at that position as Dileo and Drake are definitely not staying there.

Gainer isn't anyone we should save a spot for. He's not very good.
I'd definitely take Clements, though. I don't think we'll get him, but he could be great.
