Josh Furman's announcement has been delayed, but not because he's changed his mind. For those of you who haven't seen, the Crab Bowl has been postponed to Monday due to weather.
Furman's decision postponed - weather
Thanks for scaring the hell out of me with the topic haha.
Yeah I figured it would cause enough stress for people to view the topic. Maybe I should change it..
Yes, please change to "Game moved due to weather" or something of the like.
oh well, he will still be blue, I hope
Football delayed because of weather? Someone get Dan Hawkins.
Go play intramurals, brother.
I'm not prepared for the end-is nigh/RR doesn't understand he's not in the Big East anymore hand-wringing that would inevitably ensue if Furman went elsewhere.
I'm not sure if I +1'd you for the avatar or post. Doesn't matter; A+ material all around.
It truly has been a long December.
that is not what maryland does on Dec 19th
I wish recruits didn't need a big stage/announcement to commit somewhere. I much prefer the texting TomVH method.
If I was a big time high school recruit, I think I could live with people hanging all over my dick for a few months and announcing on a big stage.
cancelled down here due to a few inches of snow. Football games are rescheduled rather than be played in heavy rain.
Now I know why the South lost the Civil War.
For those who live in Michigan, this might be amusing, but in the Baltimore/Washington area, snow is really a four-letter word. The latest predictions are potentially a foot or more. That would probably mean more snow over the weekend than we've had over the last three years combined. Also we don't dig out very well so that could mean that schools, etc., will be closed on Monday and that in turn could mean a further postponement or even a cancellation.
Someone break out the videos of the 1950 snow bowl and show Furman them. Oh wait, I will:
I live in the MD/DC area and they are now predicting up to 20 inches.
From what I've read, we can expect to see thundersnow as well. (Yes, thundersnow is apparently real.)
I've seen it once back in college in Cleveland. My roommate saw it and said "we're really going to get hammered with snow".
We got over 40 inches of snow over that weekend.
That's what she said.
...that I'm glad my family moved from Michigan to Florida.
I wasn't logged in, just reading the thread, but I had to log in just to +1 your avatar, well done my friend!
Never would I move to Florida from Michigan!
I'm not looking forward to this storm.
Back in my day we walked through a mile of snow to go announce where we were going to college....and we liked it.
I'll bet grandpa walked uphill... both ways
It's no longer a winter storm -- it's a blizzard. I shoveled 8" at 8 a.m. and I suspect there's been another 8" in the 3 1/2 hours since. I can see an Interstate from my house and there's little traffic at this point. Now they are saying tomorrow is sunny so there's some hope the Crab Bowl will happen on Monday, but if I were betting all schools -- and the Federal government -- will be closed on Monday.
I've got about 17" of snow right now.
has already canceled school on both Monday and Tuesday.
Yeah, my girlfriend works there. She was supposed to work those two days, so she's on Christmas break about four days early. Hopefully my school district will follow suit soon.
