FWIW: I bought one in Ann Arbor about ten years ago at a gas station on Ann Arbor Saline Rd and Eisenhower. Snyder is rarely negative. He gets a bad rap for the FREEPOCALYPSE, but he didn't have any role in that really, other than letting Rosenberg use quotes that he got.

I shall henceforth award +1 wherever I see the term "FREEPOCALYPSE" used in a complete sentence, and you just got yours. Congratulations, and a Happy Festivus to you. My only quibble with you, is that Snyder appears to be solely responsible for the quasi-national quasi-kerfuffle over Rich Rodriguez's polite acknowledgment to Regent K. White's "Katrina" comments at the football bust. We can agree that Snyder is no Rosenberg, but he is working off a two-strike count.

I clicked before I noticed it was a Freep article (don't surf the web without caffeine!), so I figured I might as well read it. There wasn't much editorializing, just some good quotes saying how Josh and his dad were impressed by the facilities and people at Michigan - Barwis, RR and Shari (from the academic program). I like the quote at the end where his dad said he wouldn't be a good father if he told his son to go anywhere but Michigan. This is what I will tell my son when the time comes.

"Most important on the visit was an opportunity for Furman and his father to get to know Rich Rodriguez. Said Josh, "(Rodriguez) wants to win in a positive way, and I see what he is trying to do for the program -- in the right way." Mr. Furman echoed his son's sentiments: "There is no chink in the armor with (Rodriguez). Coach Rodriguez has class, charisma and character. Kids are not just football players to him. He treats them like family; they go over to his house and chill. I like that."

Maybe these recruits see/hear about the high-caliber NFL talent that come back to Barwis for summer workouts and draft prep and recognize the benefits of 3-4 years in his program? Like RichRod maybe everyone needs to give Barwis his time with "his" recruits to make the full impact?

I will never go back to that sesspool of scum, and you shouldn't either. Posting a link there from here is a little iffy in my book, but the gist of the article sounds great. I also really like how our S&C program is miles ahead of the rest. This year will be the third year these guys have to go through Barwis-hell, and we should start to see even more explosion, speed, and endurance. Go Blue!!!
