Apparently they forgot there is an M in the word team. You know, one of the first and biggest words on their little board.
I know you know that though, right?
No, they didn't intentionally miss the big capitol M in "TEAMS"
Capitol only refers to the Capitol building as it is a proper name. Just so you know.
And just so you know, cute little 5-year old girls should talk to adults with more respect.
Don't they already have a sign about respect and women?
My apologies, grammar goes out the window for me before I get my first cup of coffee.

But I'll bite. How does it make sense to do that intentionally?
callling them Ohio. Now, in their infinite wisdom, they have removed "M" from the this sign (and other elements of locker room fodder).
I am asking why they would intentionally leave that one "M" in teams.
You want a funny Ohio fail? I'll give you a funny Ohio fail.......
Aaron Craft shooting, or Taylor Martinez throwing?
I dig how he holds the shooting motion on the end...
Also check out Thad trying to will the shot in with body language.
Even better, check out the players on their bench. They sit with stone faced fatalism throughout the whole thing. Not one even jumped up thinking they had a chance at a 3 pointer. They never even twitch. Classic!
but I bet craft throws better.
This was and is absolutely priceless.
First, the utter silence of the crowd as the ball went out of bounds. Followed by a loud "AIRBALL" chant from the small, yet mighty Michigan crowd behind my section.
I will admit...it was the grittiest and most hardworking airball I've ever gazed upon.
but honestly it's not that hilarious.
I was just Tea_sing.....
Fixed the title for ya.
maybe try 'moderately amusing'?
I think they should stop recruiting kids with Ms in their names. Maybe it would make it easier on them.
Interesting premise. Urban should take this ideology to the next level and not recruit student athletes with Ms in their names.
Sorry _r. _c_illian, we no longer have roo_ for you in our '14 class. You have too _any _s in your na_e.
Then I would impressed
_eyer and _atta. This is weird. And obviously, they will miss a bunch of M's. They need to come up with something else. This does not work at all.
How about just "stop recruiting"? With this year's team it appears I have done just that.
and they make fun of the "Beat Ohio"? This is as dumb as it comes. This and "That Team Up North" that Urban cleverly came up with.
You're kidding, right? "That Team/School Up North" dates back to Woody Hayes.
Yes I do realize that. That is why I think it is even stupider b/c he couldn't even come up with an original thought.
considering it wasn't his idea in the first place. But you're right, this is lame and them getting so upset over Beat ohio is fairly....well, who am I kidding. Its delicious.
I love this kind of rivalry stuff and I honestly don't think many fans of the two schools get too upset over Ohio, TSUN, no M's, etc.
Sparty fans are the ones who really get upset with it. Nothing sets off the Spartys I know like calling them "Ohio". It's because 1)Moo U fans are also Ohio fans and 2)they hate weare the state school and always have and always will carry the banner in the battle between the states.
for flouting his resolution. I wish we'd won in November so that Kasich's dorkery could go in the ha ha file with Terry Glenn, but this will do.
Kasich's dorkery but how about Meyer's lameassery?
"Hey, Hoke claims to never wear red. I'll make it a thing where no one can wear blue in our buidling."
Come up with your own thing, jackasses, not just a spin off of UM's.
State and OSU both do that. The whole "You Off" and "You Fired" stuff from MSU, among other things. Things that have nothing to do with them all of a sudden are turned around and made to be about them. I know they're obsessed with us, but at least try to be original.
isn't even original.
I saw that on SportsCenter last night. Hilarious! Kind of like when thier cheerleaders spelled ohio wrong with the flags.
and I continually laugh at the premise of the "We don't give a damn..." song that they were showing the student section singing just before the 2nd half started. They don't give a damn SO MUCH that they wrote a whole song about it.
Yeah, I think they are just a little obsessed with us.
that pic of them screwing it up at a football game? I thought that was 'shopped? Or is there another, more recent one that actually happened? No snark, just curious because it would be awesome if true.
Yeah that's the one. I always thought it was real. I'm going to be really sad if it's been photoshopped.
it was debunked shortly after it came out. Was still mildly humorous even after that.
I feel like the whole beat Ohio, TTUN, and other things like that aren't that interesting. They are part of rivalries so there's no harm to it.
I do find it hilarious when somebody trying to troll like that makes a mistake. Do you think there was a point where they discovered the error? Well we already paid for the sign... Maybe nobody will notice...
I honestly doubt the individual who was responsible for creating it noticed it. Someone likely told him/her (possibly most intelligent person in Cbus, like a Dean or newspaper editor) My personal hope is that they found out when they watched SportsCenter but I doubt it.
"BEAT OHIO" is tribal. Especially when its chanted during certain occasions - near the end of the Nebraska game in '11 or at The Game itself. It needs to be used judiciously. For example, in Boston, "BEAT LA" generally shows up near the end of a Confrence Finals win.
Their "I don't give a damn" song just sounds pretty fucking stupid. Like something a kid sings at summer camp. I never understood it enough to be put off, but they seem to have fun.
We sing "Can't get into college go to State" when we are up big in hockey games a lot.
This is their version of that. Of course being Ohio they have a song to let everyone know how much they dont care about Michigan. While ours declares our superiority over State.
the greatest part about having the lead for the last several minutes of that game last night was not having to be subjected to that damn Sloopy.
I still heard it with a minute and a half or so remaining. We were inbounding the ball. It may have been when we ran the old school double pass to inbound. Regardless, I heard it. I understand that it is tradition but spelling 'ohio' portrays you as a simpleton. Then again so does forgetting an M in team. Kind of ruined what I am sure was, in their minds, a well organized and planned joke. OH-NO
when confronting people from ohio...
Do you know why the word "ohio" is so short?
So that the people from there can remember how to spell it.
used to be sacred an the band would only play it when they were legitimately leading late in the 4th Q for football or late in basketball games. Now they overuse it.
O, S and U? Too bad we didn't do it during the game at Crisler..
Like they say: "Sh__lda, c__lda, w__lda."
psst... You forgot to cut the S in Sh__lda...
"G_ F_ck Y__r_elve_, B_ckeye_"
You know what they say...there's no 'M' in 'Team'.
Maybe They should have made a board without any j's since ohio cant hit a shot
I myself try not to get too into the calling schools different names or taking it way too far like OSU tried to do. But god, I can't help but laugh at stuff like this when it blows up in their face.... it looks like they really went for it and put in effort.. how do you miss the big giant M right in the first sentence? Maybe I do like these off the field things a bit more than I thought.
They forgot to remove all the 3's as well...
I like it. Well played.
partially because the 'Ohio' thing got under their skin so much. This is just really unnecessary: "We hate Michigan so much that we're going to very clearly leave the 'M' out of everything. Can you imagine how angry Michigan fans will be that we don't use the letter 'M'?! We got em now!"
Even Red calls them ohio.
I don't wear red.
MMMMMeyer change his last name? That sign is flat out stupid.
I'm on an iPhone and for some reason can't save pictures on this site from the app. Where can I find this online? I googled it and got nothing.
Good to see that nobody in OSU's CS department knows how to use Regular Expressions. Or Find-Replace, for that matter.
Well, technically, there is a block "M" in team..... perhaps ohio fools realized this...
They actually showed clips of this sign during the game last night during some of the cutbacks from commercial breaks, and indeed, all I could ask myself is how a school could be so obsessed with another that they would omit a letter from the names of players on the roster. Worse, how could a team be so obsessed that they would abandon quality control in the attempt to make a joke and make such a glaring mistake?
There was something weirdly Pythonesque about the whole thing, reminscent of the one sketch where the guy couldn't say the letter "C".
They omitted the letter from their own players names as well lol
Hilarious, really. But as for what I saw last night. Ohio looks rough. I was hoping for them to surprise state at the end of the year and help us get the title out right. They won't be surprising anyone shooting like that.
Goddamn straight there's an M in team.
The team, the team, the team, bitches.
So your players can't represent their own families anymore because of your Urban's failed attempt at making it seem like he lives for this rivalry? I've brought it up before an ill do it again. When Urbz was taking a year did he said the only schools that could entice him to coach were Notre Dame, Ohio, and, you guessed it, Michigan.
My phone failed me big time on that one.
their boosters can start handing the players envelopes with _oney in them?
I kid, I kid.
