Funny Ohio FAIL
Apparently they forgot there is an M in the word team. You know, one of the first and biggest words on their little board.

No, they didn't intentionally miss the big capitol M in "TEAMS"

callling them Ohio. Now, in their infinite wisdom, they have removed "M" from the this sign (and other elements of locker room fodder).
Witty?

I guess that makes it hilarious.

I'm pretty sure you missed the point of this thread.

in there?

You want a funny Ohio fail? I'll give you a funny Ohio fail.......
February 12th, 2014 at 9:25 AM ^
Aaron Craft shooting, or Taylor Martinez throwing?
February 12th, 2014 at 9:27 AM ^
February 12th, 2014 at 9:50 AM ^
Also check out Thad trying to will the shot in with body language.
Lol!
February 12th, 2014 at 11:30 AM ^
Even better, check out the players on their bench. They sit with stone faced fatalism throughout the whole thing. Not one even jumped up thinking they had a chance at a 3 pointer. They never even twitch. Classic!

This was and is absolutely priceless.
First, the utter silence of the crowd as the ball went out of bounds. Followed by a loud "AIRBALL" chant from the small, yet mighty Michigan crowd behind my section.
I will admit...it was the grittiest and most hardworking airball I've ever gazed upon.
February 12th, 2014 at 8:18 AM ^
but honestly it's not that hilarious.

maybe try 'moderately amusing'?
February 12th, 2014 at 8:19 AM ^
I think they should stop recruiting kids with Ms in their names. Maybe it would make it easier on them.
February 12th, 2014 at 9:48 AM ^
Sorry _r. _c_illian, we no longer have roo_ for you in our '14 class. You have too _any _s in your na_e.
Love,
Urban _eyer
Then I would impressed
February 12th, 2014 at 10:28 AM ^
_eyer and _atta. This is weird. And obviously, they will miss a bunch of M's. They need to come up with something else. This does not work at all.
February 12th, 2014 at 1:56 PM ^
How about just "stop recruiting"? With this year's team it appears I have done just that.
Signed,
Thad Matta

and they make fun of the "Beat Ohio"? This is as dumb as it comes. This and "That Team Up North" that Urban cleverly came up with.
February 12th, 2014 at 8:26 AM ^
You're kidding, right? "That Team/School Up North" dates back to Woody Hayes.
February 12th, 2014 at 11:12 AM ^
Yes I do realize that. That is why I think it is even stupider b/c he couldn't even come up with an original thought.
February 12th, 2014 at 8:47 AM ^
considering it wasn't his idea in the first place. But you're right, this is lame and them getting so upset over Beat ohio is fairly....well, who am I kidding. Its delicious.
February 12th, 2014 at 10:09 AM ^
I love this kind of rivalry stuff and I honestly don't think many fans of the two schools get too upset over Ohio, TSUN, no M's, etc.
Sparty fans are the ones who really get upset with it. Nothing sets off the Spartys I know like calling them "Ohio". It's because 1)Moo U fans are also Ohio fans and 2)they hate weare the state school and always have and always will carry the banner in the battle between the states.
February 12th, 2014 at 8:24 AM ^
for flouting his resolution. I wish we'd won in November so that Kasich's dorkery could go in the ha ha file with Terry Glenn, but this will do.
February 12th, 2014 at 8:39 AM ^
Kasich's dorkery but how about Meyer's lameassery?
"Hey, Hoke claims to never wear red. I'll make it a thing where no one can wear blue in our buidling."
Come up with your own thing, jackasses, not just a spin off of UM's.

isn't even original.
February 12th, 2014 at 8:50 AM ^
I saw that on SportsCenter last night. Hilarious! Kind of like when thier cheerleaders spelled ohio wrong with the flags.
February 12th, 2014 at 8:54 AM ^
and I continually laugh at the premise of the "We don't give a damn..." song that they were showing the student section singing just before the 2nd half started. They don't give a damn SO MUCH that they wrote a whole song about it.
February 12th, 2014 at 9:12 AM ^
Yeah, I think they are just a little obsessed with us.
February 12th, 2014 at 8:55 AM ^
that pic of them screwing it up at a football game? I thought that was 'shopped? Or is there another, more recent one that actually happened? No snark, just curious because it would be awesome if true.
February 12th, 2014 at 9:15 AM ^
Yeah that's the one. I always thought it was real. I'm going to be really sad if it's been photoshopped.
February 12th, 2014 at 10:49 AM ^
it was debunked shortly after it came out. Was still mildly humorous even after that.
February 12th, 2014 at 8:57 AM ^
I feel like the whole beat Ohio, TTUN, and other things like that aren't that interesting. They are part of rivalries so there's no harm to it.
I do find it hilarious when somebody trying to troll like that makes a mistake. Do you think there was a point where they discovered the error? Well we already paid for the sign... Maybe nobody will notice...

"BEAT OHIO" is tribal. Especially when its chanted during certain occasions - near the end of the Nebraska game in '11 or at The Game itself. It needs to be used judiciously. For example, in Boston, "BEAT LA" generally shows up near the end of a Confrence Finals win.
Their "I don't give a damn" song just sounds pretty fucking stupid. Like something a kid sings at summer camp. I never understood it enough to be put off, but they seem to have fun.
February 12th, 2014 at 9:23 AM ^
We sing "Can't get into college go to State" when we are up big in hockey games a lot.
This is their version of that. Of course being Ohio they have a song to let everyone know how much they dont care about Michigan. While ours declares our superiority over State.
February 12th, 2014 at 9:16 AM ^
Eyer. lol
February 12th, 2014 at 9:19 AM ^
the greatest part about having the lead for the last several minutes of that game last night was not having to be subjected to that damn Sloopy.
