abnormally so over other schools in the Big Ten.
The Kohl Center is not that intimidating... or loud. It's not that hard to win tons of game at home when the refs call the game like they did for Michigan.
It's ridiculous.

I'm calling it like I see it. Yes we didn't play great but as the other thread so poetically said the refs gave them a fucking lightning bolt all game to keep them in the game.

I do not know if the refs changed the outcome of the game but they def. fell into the hype of the home crowd with the calls they were calling. Wisc. was in the double bonus before we were even in the bonus. There were back to back calls, one on LLP on defense that resulted in two shots that was weak followed immediately by a Novak foul going for a tough rebound at the other end. And the Novak "traveling call" was terrible. I rewound it and watched it in slow motion and there wasn't a hint of hesitation or shuffling of the feet. They were just ready to call something to get the crowd going.
The refs in the big ten are consistently terrible is the main takeaway. They cannot be consistent in the types of fouls they call and they play into the home crowd.

I like how Wayne Larivee mentioned every 30 seconds that we "hadn't won in Madison since 1999!" while conveniently overlooking the fact that our program sucked during most of that time.

First off let me state that I am huge Michigan football who grew up in Wisconsin. My favorite teams in order are 1. Michigan Football 2. Michigan Football players 3. Michigan Football coaches 4. Michigan Football recruits 5. Michigan Stadium 6. Green Bay Packers 7. Badger basketball.
That being said, you guys lost that game because you couldn't take advantage of the fact Wisconsin had 7 points with 10 minutes to play in the first half and was without Wolverine killer and second leading scorer Jon Leuer. Wisconsin couldn't hit a shot to save their lives and Michigan did nothing to take advantage of that.
That is why they lost, not the refs.

We had one point from our bench. Wisconsin had 19 from their bench.
I don't think the refs were the reason we lost. Our team is basically two players.

It didn't help, but the officiating sucked. But I think that's more characteristic of shitty refs giving the home team calls rather than Wisconsin in particular. Of course, this is a completely original comment by me and was in no way influenced by any recent article written about this phenomenon.

For the life of me, I do not understand why this team cannot play a full 40 minutes; they played 36, but that was all.

we just suck and continue to suck this year and who knows for how long more? i am just so...
why am i so upset? why do i care? what difference does this make, really? i don't know.
but why take out sims half way thru the first half? he's killin' it inside, has like 10 points, we are up by 10 and he gets spelled! what, he's tired? no. in foul trouble? no. i don't get it. and towards the end, suddenly manny decides to go it alone. forces up everything and misses everything.
i give up. i can't take it any more. what, it's been how many years since the martin crap and we still can't field a decent team? a bench? a slashing 1 guard? a tree inside? we start a 6' 5" power fucking forward in the big 10? fuck!!!

To the people in here saying that the refs did not have a hand in this win, go learn the game of basketball. Bo Ryan has these refs in his pocket at home. Manny and whoever tried to drive the lane tonight got hacked with no intent to even go for the ball. It was so bad that my fiance' even was asking "are they aloud to do that"?????
Yeah Stu and Zack should've made the layups they had, but that had no effect over the game.
Did anyone notice the clock ran out at the end of the half after Hughes made that basket? Their were 3 seconds left on the clock. The Michigan players stood there like WTF and Wisconsin just started running off the court and the refs said nothing to bring them back out....
