FUCK 2013!!!! [Drinks and posbanging found here]

Submitted by Canadian on

The money spent on the trip to Florida for the outback bowl... The money spent on the GLI... The money I lost on basketball team... Fuck everything. Hell even lost money when betting against Michigan... Just not working out for me. Here's to 2014... Hopefully it's a good one!!

Mod edit: The people have spoken. Go forth and posbang. And toss a few back. JGB.

Black Manifesto (Black IPA), Black Lager, and IPA (seriously their IPA is just called "IPA").  Both are tasty as hell.

Pre-game posbangs may be needed, but I'm surprisingly calm.  Maybe the beer, maybe the lower expectations b/c of first time starter.  Maybe both.

Sucked for football, Michigan basketball came back alive. We had a once in a generation player in Trey Burke, that helped the year somewhat. Here's to you, Trey Burke! You were 2013! Go Blue! Come on 2014!

Sitting on the couch after returning from Christmas with the family in Ohio, getting ready to watch the game. As I've mentioned before, I'm not well versed in the IPAs and such like many here on MGoBlog. However, while I was at Kroger in OH, my wife pointed out that they had a "make your own six pack" section there. Thanks to her, I am following the advice of several MGoBloggers and trying a few. I got Great Lakes Brewing Company Commodore Perry on deck for the game. We'll see how it goes. I thought the quote on the bottle of "Don't give up the ship" was appropriate. If the game goes badly, I got a bottle of their Edmund Fitzgerald, because, well you know. I also have Frankenmuth "Batch 69 IPA" and a few others that I'll be trying. Go Blue!

tends to be a progression that typically starts at the sweeter end of the scale (golds, wheats, ambers, reds), with IPAs, double IPAs etc. at the very end of the scale (takes the longest to get used to).

My point is that you'll like some more than others, and may even hate some of them right now. Enjoy the styles you like, but never stop trying new things.  Putting a sixer together like you did is a GREAT way to start, and most breweries do a sampler flight so you can try a few.

Believe it or not, I've never seen a sixer sampler like this, at least not here in Okeechobee. So far, so good with the IPA. I'll definitely check back and update. The drinking threads have been probably the biggest influence in trying new beers. Thanks MGoBlog!

I hate 2013. Worst work year of my career. Avalanche of sports dong punches.
But, my family is healthy and my daughters (10 and 12) are my greatest joy. So, just remember to keep perspective.

Go Blue!

SHIT I'm tired. And STILL 20 minutes to game time.

I'm so tired I can't even remember the beer I had with dinner at Butch's, but damn was it good. So was the flat iron steak, and the anniversary sex. Feelin' pretty good, y'all. Still, fuck 2013 and GO BLUE!

F 2013 indeed.

My uncle was just diagnosed with cancer that started in his esophagus but has now gone throughout the lymph nodes and into the lungs and such. Chemo starts the 9th.

Found out tonight my wife's and our cat has cancer as well and will have to be out down shortly probably. Will know for sure Monday.

Sports dong punches galore. Football basketball, Cleveland Browns you name it.

My newest favorite pass time of takin my family to Akron Aeros minor league baseball games is ruined after three years of faithfully going. They changed their name to the Akron Rubber Ducks. Not sure if ill renew my tickets.

Been up since 4am for work. Exhausted but I've got Sam Adams Winter Lager, Molson Canadian, and shots of Pinnacle pumpkin pie vodka.

I started a new drinking game where I'll drink every time is at Jesus Christ tonight.

So it's been nice knowing you.

I watched the Holy Cross game and was pleasantly surprised at how we were able to hold up without McGary. for the football game, I went to bed at halftime. I think I made the right decision. Here's to a better 2014, in many ways.
