A Beaver Pride pregame party has been scheduled at Rick O'Shay's Irish Pub from 5-7 p.m. (Eastern) Saturday and 5:30-7:30 (Eastern) Sunday. Rick O'Shay's Irish Pub is located at 4610 Parnell Ave. in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Are there any plans for our own such pregame gathering in Ft. Wayne? I'm not familiar enough with Ft. Wayne to even make a suggestion, but I have to admit the idea of a "Beaver Pride" party sounds quite attractive.
And for Sunday too?? No uh!!

Damn it! It looks like they made Saturday-only tickets available today! I was looking over the weekend and it said you had to buy all three. I just told this to everyone I was going to go with, and they said "oh well". I'm kinda pissed now

Well there is a Hooters about a quarter mile west from the Coliseum on Coliseum Blvd... BWW in several spots around town, closest one might be on Maysville Rd... Place called Granite City about a mile away, incredible array of beers, decent food

While Rick O'Shay's is the closest decent bar to the arena, I would suggest Wrigley Field bar and grill. It's one of the better sports bars in Fort Wayne and still a fairly short drive away, maybe 5 miles.
I was listening to
the radio earlier and they were talking about a U-M sponsored pep rally in the Coliseum, lobby 4 or something like that, from 5:30-7:30 on Saturday. It's going to have a cash bar, the band and "someone important" from the Athletic Department, which I took to mean Dave Brandon, though maybe Billy or Mel and some other stuff. It's also "only for Michigan fans", though I don't know how they enforce that...
If you want more information, go to mgoblue tomorrow and listen to the Red Berenson show podcast, the hosts mention it, before one of the commercial breaks, I don't recall the times in the podcast though, sorry :-( Or you could try googling it and seeing what happens.
Or someone smarter than me can post what they remember about it.

The Coliseum has a number of
The Coliseum has a number of other rooms/event areas located within the complex, so it may well have a reception in one of those areas prior to the game. If you go in the main entrances to the arena do not go up the escalator, this will take you to the rink area, the other rooms are entered via the main floor. there will probably be someone posted to direct you to which room.

Man I'm sad I can't go anymore. $87 is a lot, and I think it's stupid you can't buy one or two games, you have to buy all three. And why is the 2nd game at 8pm on Sunday when that's the only game that day?!
