Just another wasted investigation, they'll find nothing, but man, I'm sick of this kid!!! With how the NFL is becoming with discipline, WTH are these college kids doing? Talk about playing with fire...just stupid.

Yeah I know, another dead-end investigation to be sure. I'm mad at myself though. Met Jameis after the Syracuse game this past weekend, and he autographed all of the leftover crab legs from my tailgate. Nice kid actually, he didn't try to take any of them. Alas, I have no proof. Was drunk and still hungry, and I cooked the Sharpie right off of the shells. Cool story bro, I know. Even better crab.

Anyone see Pat Forde's article stating that Winston's best option for himself would be to drop out of school?

He would not have to go under the University's review board, he wouldn't have to worry about this autograph stuff, he wouldn't be subject to any NCAA or FSU rules.

Just an interesting thought. Certainly better than going to the review board and them bringing up something that could affect your future with the judicial system, you saying something that could affect your future in the judicial system, etc.

He's trash? Really. You must know quite a bit more about him than the general public. Seems like a decent guy to me. He also wins football games. Let's keep hiring nice guys though that have teams top out at 7-5.

Well let's see, he continues to start a quarterback who has been accused of rape, who is facing a disciplinary hearing for sexual assault, who shoplifted from a grocery store, who shouted sexist obscenities to other students, who is being investigated for signing autographs for money, who was arrested for hunting squirrels on campus with a pellet gun, and who was involved in a BB gun fight that caused 4,200 dollars worth of damage.

Sorry if I don't think Fisher is a tremendous representative for FSU.  If you want a coach like that, I suggest you become a fan of another program.

Or what? Internet tough guy here! Stand back everyone!

The fact that your counterargument is a guy who was expelled from the University is absurd.  There is zero evidence that the Gibbons case was anything other than a major PR blunder as the incident was thoroughly investigated by both the University and the police and led to the proper result. Again, if winning games is worth starting a player who should be in jail, go find another program. Sorry.

"...he continues to start a quarterback who has been accused of rape, who is facing a disciplinary hearing for sexual assault..."

Gibbons started under the exact same scenario.

"...who shoplifted from a grocery store..."

Frank Clark stole a laptop.

"...who shouted sexist obscenities to other students..."

Taylor Lewan threatened to rape that girl if she didn't shut keep her mouth shut.

"...and who was involved in a BB gun fight that caused 4,200 dollars worth of damage..."

Will Campbell slid across the hood of someone's car and caused thousands of dollars worth of damage.

It's not like this type of stuff doesn't happen on every campus.

The conversation wasn't about Winston, it was about Fisher. The point was that he acts like this stuff doesn't happen at other schools when it happens all the time. He also said "If you want a coach like that, I suggest you become a fan of another program." I was just pointing out that this stuff has happened here. Fisher may or may not be "trash" but I wouldn't use Winston as an example of that. Glass houses and all.

Please explain where you heard the Taylor Lewan stuff from? I never saw that specificially, just that he may have intimidated her..But lets be real, you cant possible stick up for Jameis? All of those incidents were carried out by a number of student-athletes, not one guy. I think people justifiably hate Jamies because of the idiocy it takes to spit in the face opportunity and $ like he seems to be doing

...you're saying it's ridiculous that they suspended a rapist for yelling sexual obscenities in the middle of a pubic place?...on a table?...In a school? You're equating that to saying "fuck you" to a ref? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just really trying to make sure that you're actually implying this, because if so, you need to be put away.

Yes because work places are treated exactly like school lunch rooms. We all know far more is expected once out of college. Nowhere am I condoning how Jameis acts. But, it's funny watch the holier than folk bash other schools players, then chalk up Michigan's mistakes to PR blunders and stretching too much.

Defending this kid with all of the ugly that has been connected to his name. Not sure why you would feel compelled. I live in Tallahassee and can tell you that most thinking people here are ashamed, and very eager to see the back of Winston. When the guys who filmed the ugly are expelled but the one who carried it out continues to pilot the team AND shout THAT? Defend away. And while you're at it, tell me how to explain this to my ten year old daughter.

The presumption of guilt that people are giving to Winston stems from that pathetic excuse of an investigation by TPD. What has come out is pathetic. At best, Winston didn't do it and the TPD didn't take the time to do a thorough investigation bc he is an athlete, or worse covered his actions up. An appropriate investigation would provide more answers than questions.

There is no evidence that Winston is a "rapist."  The story that is told by him and his teammates is that the alleged victim was his "hook-up" and became vindictive when he wouldn't leave his gf for her.  There is no actual evidence that a rape ever took place.  She also had two sets of DNA on her after the night in question.

Then there's the matter of trying to extort $7 million to "go away."

They have looked at the same set of facts numerous times.  Fisher is right; the facts aren't going to change.  It's like they are passing Winston to every possible venue and authority to try and get something to stick.

Jaemis Winston may be "guilty" of being a college kid with poor judgment.  Screwing around on a gf is not an indicator of good characther, either.  However, that doesn't mean he is a "rapist" anywhere except trashy message boards like RCMB.

The physical examination revealed bruises on the accuser's knees and elbows, vaginal tearing, and blood on her shorts, not to mention the fact that she called two friends right after the incident, one of whom called the police while the other called her parents.  Is that conclusive?  Of course not.  But to suggest there was "no evidence" of rape is factually incorrect.  You can question the sufficiency of the evidence, but you can't question its existence.

I'm saying Frank Clark stole a laptop and had a felony on his record and sat out one game. Winston stood on a table and yelled profanity and got the same suspension. So yes, that is ridiculous. And no need to apologize. I should have said "as ridiculous as standing on a lunchroom table and yelling fuck you." Either way, people on Michigan's football team have done far worse than curse in public and got less than a game suspension. I bet some of the coaches can be heard swearing on the sidelines. Better suspend them a game because won't someone think of the children? All of those people sitting in the front row can hear people swear. Simply unacceptable.

Okay I have a few qualms with this. First of all, are we really going to start holding shit against people that hasn't even been proven? A lot of people have been accused of horrific things but that doesn't mean they did them. Regardless, I had to crack up at your quote, "who shouted sexist obscenities to other students." Ummmm lighten up Francis. Seriously? It's a joke of a phrase that went viral online, and he repeated the phrase which is shown in hundreds of youtube videos and has been yelled across college campuses everywhere. I won't even get into the fact that you're unfairly judging this kid for allegedly taking cash for signing his own damn name, but finally you're going to crucify a kid for getting into a BB gun fight and stealing some crab legs? Obviously these are stupid, stupid things but nothing out of the ordinary for an idiotic college kid. I think they can scratch together $4200 out of millions they've made directly due to Jameis Winston.

It was in youtube videos and yelled across college campuses?!? Well hot damn. I can't believe I ever thought it was inappropriate to have a high-profile athlete accused of sexual assault yelling "fuck her right the pussy" at teenage girls!

I don't know what your college experience was like, but mine didn't involve shoplifting, hearings for alleged sexual assault, felonious property damage, violating NCAA rules, and having a police helicopter search for me. I guess I'm old fashioned.

I would hope if he were at Michigan he would not be playing.  Did he or didn't he?  I don't know, I wasn't there but if you see fit to have a former state Supreme Court justice look into it, this might be time to let him take a break from football to get his issues resolved.  We destroy our coach for telling the media it was a family issue when a kicker had the same thing happen.  Kicker accused of rape, University asks him to not come to school here any more.  If it had been a Heisman trophy winner I'd hope the same would happen.

conduct.

That, my folks, is an example of why the world is so screwed up. People placing emphasis on the wrong values(WINNING!!) at the expense of ones that actually matter(integrity).

I'd rather be a good person who loses than a bad person who wins for winning a game scarcely matters.

It's a damn game.

It was incredibly stupid and jokes can certainly be offensive....but the fact that many kids in that cafeteria had said the exact same thing, including females should be factors in.

What he yelled was literally the same national meme as Dave Chappelle's "I'M RICH BEEYOTCH!!!" That everyone used to go around yelling.

This was more vulgar and coming from Winston was in poor taste. But it's not like Winston was the only one yelling this or the only one that had heard it.

People act like when he screamed it the music stopped and everyone said "OH MY GOD!"

No. People laughed. Just like they did when they said it among each other. Obviously someone didn't laugh, or maybe they, maybe every kid in that caefteria, male and female ALL laughed...but people put it on social media and it offended various people around the country.
