after reading some of the hateful comments posted to Angelique Chengelis' moving article on the DetNews about RRod visiting the Page baby (linked by Brian today). 

Good to have something really silly to do to wipe away some of the slime some people have to post (elsewhere, of course).

I e-mailed the BTN Bobblehead promotion just to be assured that it is being run fairly.

Here was their response:

Yes the site is being run by a neutral party and is a secure website that is legally bound by the rules posted on the site. PSU has been strongly supporting the promotion and has managed to keep a consistent lead, but isnt too far ahead of Michigan. We cannot provide exact counts.
 
To answer your other email, we cannot favor one sweepstakes entrant over another as we must follow the rules for the game and draw winners randomly.
