Rodriguez is the type of guy who I want coaching this football team. He's got a great personality and vision in my humble opinion...

What a shithole.

..but please, stop smiling. "Can you explain what it's like on the sideline in this stadium once the game starts?" So RR talks about loudness and focus..."You don't think it's a unique place when Michigan shows up?"
Why does he have to beg the question?
Fans of the Game on both sides don't give a shit if you are a nice guy and end up losing in another blowout. Stop joking and being lighthearted. Yes, it will add to the rivalry if there is not hot water in the locker room, but damn, show a tense edge. Act like you are gonna throw down with the first Buckeye fan that looks at you sideways. Mention tradition. Talk about blood and sacrifice and leaving everything on the field. Get angry, and don't just wait till you are in the locker room on gameday.
Live that shit.

HAIL.

Should be his new PR man. /s
It's a walkthrough video, chill out. He didn't know much about the rivalry when he got here, he is still experiencing it. Plus, I'd rather have RR be RR because he knows what the heck he wants to do. Let him be and get off his ass, he will do fine.

I'm sure he saves the snarling, fiery "take no prisoners" speech for gametime. What he says in the locker room and what he says for a TV or internet viewing audience are not the same thing. The walkthough videos are always light. RR seems quite comfortable in his own skin, with his own style. Quit trying to make him into somebody he isn't.

For any head coach at Michigan, the fire and intensity of the Game should run through your veins. So I guess you may be right, perhaps I am just trying to make him into someone he isn't.
I really hope you're wrong.

You're trying to turn him into someone who acts the way you think he should act. And how do you know that the fire and intensity of the Game don't run through his veins? Just because he doesn't say or show what you think he ought to in a fluff piece on the internet doesn't mean he isn't fired up and intense about the Game.

I take what he gives me in interviews and soundbites.
If he doesn't say or show vitriol than what else am I to think? That even though it doesn't look or sound like he understands...it's ok, he probably does?

If he wins, does it really matter if he does or not? Some people choose not to show any lockerroom info, maybe this is his way of doing it. Plus, I have seen him on the sidelines looking rather fired. He doesn't have to throw down any buckeye that looks at him wrong, do it on the scoreboard and I'm sure everyone will be happy, yourself included.

...but yes, winning trumps all.

I dont care if he gives a kiss to the tressel after the game as long as we win.

RR is pretty intense during the games.

a crap if he's got a "game face" and he certainly cannot say what everyone wants him to say. I only hope he's said whay he's needed to say to the guys inside the white lines go blue

Forget the talk, its the walk that counts, one way or the other.

We have the opportunity to move another step closer to competing for the Big Ten Championship. Play smart. Play hard.
