Friday Pre-Sunrise Posbang

Submitted by rob f on

Why not?

Early risers, 3rd shifters coming home from work, insomniacs, whatever the excuse, many of us are up and about at this hour and in need of the posbang that is usually the domain of those who have daytime access to MGoBoard.

Well, in my case, the excuse is that I have already been up for about 90 minutes and am just getting ready to make the daunting 10-minute commute to my office.

This weekend promises to be a busy one - my daughter has a rehearsal for her dance show tonight, the actual performance is tomorrow afternoon and then Operation: Grapevine Death will be most of Sunday, assuming my wife doesn't insist on me being dragged to the splash pad at some point. Not that I mind that, of course, but in her mind - unlike my father's - family time does not involve being handed a saw and told to "trim that effing hedge".

Pre dawn? Bitch please- I live in the East. This time of year the sun rises at 4:58am and, I swear to god, you just start seeing it get lighter in the eastern horizon at 3:45

Don't forget to stop in Gatlinburg for your free moonshine tastings!  There are four places along the strip.  It's not all that burn your throat out moonshine either...they have smooth stuff too.

The one microbrewery in Gatlinburg (also a location in Pigeon Forge) is Smoky Mountain Brewery...they have $2.50 pints from 4 - 7 PM.  Have fun!

I would just like to offer this advice: never date a girl that's going through a divorce and has two kids, you'll have ulcers and you'll end up bald.

But FUCK IT, IT's FriDAY!

everyone.  Out at 3 today, riding the Harley to GR for an awesome weekend with Ms. ND Sux.

The distance sux but after 10 years, the relationship still has that new feel.

Enjoying this morning with a cup of coffee and hanging out with my 6 week old son. I'm also celebrating having lost 65 lbs so far this year and having lowered my blood pressure from astronomical/dangerous to perfect. Happy Friday folks!

I lost about 50 lbs three years ago and while I've gained about 20 back, it's been in lean muscle mass. I can still fit into a pair of pants with a 32" waist, but - wow - are those suit jackets getting tight across the shoulders and chest!

Keep up the good work. The most important word of advice I can give you: don't - under any circumstances - think you can coast for a while. From here on out, you're running to stand still. You'll begin to notice the effects of poor diet and exercise within a few days.

What makes your accomplishment even more impressive is that you've accomplished this in the land of Krispy Kreme, BoJangles, Chik-fil-A, and countless "meat and 3s" littering Georgia, a state where mac and cheese is considered a vegetable.

Keep up the good work - it helps to be fit when you've got kids, along with nearly every other aspect of your life!
