Friday POSBANG Thread: 1/3/14 Edition

Gettin' close to the weekend, MGoBoard, what ya got to posbang for?

Pretty nice little Saturday here, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.

Home with the kids due to schools closing from all the snow here in Brooklyn. Of course, I'm workin'. Got an early bat-mitzvah for one of my nieces tomorrow. Hopefully be able to watch Michigan/NWestern on Sunday. Otherwise just relax, maybe do a little writing.

Monday is supposed to be a high of -2 here in Bloomington with wind of 20 mph. Wind chill could make it -20 or worse. Today it was 15 degrees and I thought that was cold when I went outside. I really hope I don't have to go anywhere Monday.

Rough Friday so far. My wife's grandmother fell and shattered her hip Wednesday night. She had an ORIF yesterday, which went well, but was a little hypotensive and hypoxic a few hours post op. Her d-dimer was a little high so they took her for a CT chest, just to rule out PE (which was negative, thank goodness). Unfortunately, her SpO2 dropped immediately after the CT and she went into V-tach, followed by V-fib. The shocked her and got ROSC, intubated her, and took her back to ICU. She's on a vent, but hemodynamically stable at this point. Hope she's ok. According to the staff, she wasn't down long, but being in her 80's with COPD and positive cardiac history, and having just had hip surgery, it's a pretty bad recipe. Everyone holding it together right now, but it looks like it will be a long weekend. Edit: Didn't mean to piss on the posbang. Just going through some stuff.

Bama lost

2013 is dead

2014 is alive

Ready for a titillating weekend of installing closet shelves and hemorrhaging cash in prepping the nursery for little Wolverine #2.  Good things...Good things...
