love those packed gyms, no ventilation, and every adult at the dias thinks its their shinning moment to impart wisdom and thus k-e-e-p-s t-a-l-k-i-n-g....make them stop, say congrats, and hand the diplomas out.
after about 3 minutes no one is listening to them anymore so shut up and get it over with.....

8th street downtown and its their 20th anniversary. beer pizza salads sandwiches --all good.
go to the Irish Pub (The Curragh on 8th St in downtown). Great food and good beer selection. Boatwekrs and New Holland are good as others mentioned. If you end up looking for pizza, Skiles and Fricanos are both excellent. Happy birthday, yo!

Last day until August. Here's my response to people trying to give me work today.
If the line at Hattie B's is too long, head to Party Fowl. The Hot Chicken isn't quite as good but they have a good local beer selection. Black Abbey's The Rose, Tailgate's Peanut Buuter Milk Stout and Kentucky Brewing's Vanilla Cream Bourbon Barrel Ale are my favorites.
Party Fowl was pretty close to Hattie B's, I thought. And yes, the beer list is great.
Best (weirdly great) thing on their menu is the smoked hard boiled eggs.
Today should mark a breathing point after a busy week. While I'm catching my breath ... bang me like a drum.
then on to openimg night of Top of the Park at Ingalls Mall. Ingrid Racine is a pretty good jazz/alt/soul trumpeter followed by some of the dudes from the old Urbations.
I'll be headed up to a friend's wedding on Mackinac Island this weekend. A bit of a drive but a beautiful place and great event to celebrate!
Enjoy those kiddos! As they say, they grow fast. I just watched videos from my kids just two years ago and was amazed how different they are (currently ages 6, 4, and 1).
