Jarrod Wilson days until American Tackle Football!!!

My productivity at work will look something like this today because I will be leaving right after work for a weekend in Chicago.  We have golf, bar hopping and a Cubs game planned, should be great!

Actually, if you want to do a countdown until American tackle football, that would be 19 days (Georgia Southern vs Abilene Christian on Wednesday, August 27). 

Michigan football starts in Jarrod Wilson days. Any football starts in Wilton Speight days.

I always try and watch the first televised football game regardless of who is playing.

 Then I arbitrarily pick a team and emotionally invest in them.  

This year I might try to see if either team has a viewing party.  

Go (whatever team I decide to root for)!

As I have been doing the work of three of my fellow supervisors this week, I have almost literally been at the center of every minor controversy regarding work being done in this particular region of the service territory, so needless to say, a weekend which may only involve mowing the lawn and grilling is quite welcome right now. 

As for the multiple posbang threads, in case you were interested in the general rule on duplicate threads of any topic, about 99% of the time, the first thread by timestamp stays, but if the mods don't get to it right off the bat, we tend to go by which one is generating the most discussion, which is not always the first thread created (especially during the season).

It would be difficult to manage - this being a diverse blog, we all work different shifts and, in some cases, have different "Fridays", if you will. Typically, it has just been easiest to make sure that the Friday Posbang thread does not show up on Wednesday afternoon, for example, but even if it came around at 3 AM this morning, best let our graveyard shift bloggers get an early word in, I would say.

I do understand where you are coming from though - today it showed up before I had even really had coffee, so here I am, bleary-eyed and barely comprehending my work e-mail when I see "posbang" on the board and think to myself, "Huh? Who's banging who now? Oh...."
