It's Friday, the weather is warming up and it's almost swimming season.  Happy weekend!

really interested this year for a few reasons.

1) I want to see if Tiger plays, if he doesn't I think there is a good chance he never plays competitively again.

2) Speith, one year later.  That was a horrifying, Greg Norman level collapse.  Want to see if he can regain form there quickly.

3) Phil, one last go.  I believe Mickelson is going to win one more major and he plays well at Augusta.  Could be a memorable weekend for him.

4) Dustin Johnson.  At some point, everything is going to click at the same time and he is going to lap the field.  The level of play he has exhibited in fits and spurs is going to all come together at some point and he will put on a classic display.  Wondering if this weekend.

think there is another level he can get to.  He may be the most physically gifted player since Tiger, and maybe more so than Tiger.  I just mean, if be can put together his A+ game for four days, he is the kind of player who could win a major by 10 strokes.

Tiger was one of the strongest pound-for-pound athletes to ever go through Stanford athletics, and before he had to dial back his swing around that ripped left knee, he was swinging upwards of 130 mph. That said, DJ has 3 inches on him and is still swinging around 120-125 mph. He may be reaching his prime at 32, but his swing is much safer, and that signature bowed wrist will prove to save his body. It creates a tremendous amount of additional leverage as the club turns backs over in the downswing. And now that he's dialed in a fade to suit his strong grip, he is very realistically looking at a 10-year window of dominating the Tour.

Does anybody else think that Mattison looks like your cranky-looking uncle who's actually a pushover for kids? The one who lets you sneak a sip of his beer when you're 12, and tells you inappropriate jokes that you can't repeat to your mother?

Who knows - maybe that's what makes him a good recruiter. (Well, that and all the football stuff.)

I should receive an autographed Jabrill Peppers helmet today.  We were told that we hit our yearly bonus, so I decided to buy a present for myself.  The neat part is that there is plenty of room for additional signatures as time goes on.
