Friday night "What are you drinking?" thread
I'm having Bud Light Platinum because it's cheap and somehow gets me buzzed as quick as anything. Need it after today's game, but haven't lost hope.

Michigan lost and just found out that my pup has a cancerous tumor on his leg that's going to cost $700-$900 to remove.
I wish I had a jar of moonshine tonight.

All ya all better save what you are drinking for when this team gets knocked out of the tourney fast and swift. They are playing some god awful basektball at the worst time of the year to be playing so.

You must not have a lot of experience with 12% ABV beers. I can certainly understand the cheap part though.

Edit: and for Uncle Si, I'll lift a glass to all 58,272 that can't drink with us tonight and to the rest of the men and women who have served.
Any recommendations? I wouldn't mind dipping into the rainy day fund if it's worth it.
a Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron. Gulden Draak is a great Belgian Ale, a bit less than 12% but still potent. I'd always feel comfortable recommending either of those. Sadly, the word inexpensive won't apppear anywhere near either of them.
I've seen other posters about Dogfish, so I may try that one first. I think the " strongest" beer I've had is Dirty Bastard. Thanks for the info!
Have to let the Palo Santo warm a bit, not too much. I had a Founders Imperial after work, Bells Hopslam with dinner and just now a Double Crooked Tree. I didn't even watch the game, not because I'm hatin, just because I had to do a million errands this afternoon (haircut, dry cleaning, pick up the boys, groceries and make dinner) that I just didn't have time for the game. I'm glad I missed it. I checked the score at half time and it looked promising . . .
He'Brew's Lenny's IPA is a 10% alcohol beer. It's great, but whoa it has a lot of malt and hops. If you don't like your beers that hop tasting, then you won't like it, but if you do, then you will. http://www.shmaltzbrewing.com/HEBREW/lennys.html does not take long to get drunk when you're drinking those.
I had their anniversay strong dark earlier this week. It was delicious.

So I will definitely check it out! I think the Main street market (gosh, do I actually not know what the place is called?) has a nice selection. If anyone has any insight on where to get these kinds of beers relatively near campus I'd be very grateful!

You must try their Vintage Ale. I've had the 2007, 2008 and 2009. All slightly different but all incredible beers. I think I dropped $14 for an imperial pint. The 2008 tastes like butterscotch.

Just finished a Sam Adams Boston Ale, I have a Tap Room Amber ale I'm about to open, and both Bud Black Crown and Bud Light (in green aluminum bottles!) that I may get to later.
I'm going to a poker night tonight...any suggestions for a poker night drink??
