Kyle Van Noy is a very good linebacker. What's more, his style of play is just awesome watch. He's a bit too lithe to be a first round pick, but he's just about the perfect college linebacker.

And on the first play of the game he takes a pick to the house. Crazy.

Hell yeah. I live the Thursday and Friday games, as they are nice warm up games for Saturday.

Doesn't look like Taysom Hill can throw it down field, or rather they're not letting him. Maybe he's checking down but Aggies are sitting on the underneath stuff.

The first quarter of BYU-USU ends in something of a statistical stalemate. Both teams gained between 70-80 yards and are moving the ball at about a 4 yards per snap clip at this point.

but it's not because the SDSU Athletic Dept. isn't trying. From the 2 Oct San Diego Union-Tribune: "In preparation for the Aztecs' first-ever regular season home game on ESPN's Friday night national broadcast, the San Diego State athletic department is going all out to get fans to pack Qualcomm Stadium. The first 30,000 fans who come to Friday's SDSU vs. Nevada showdown will get a free Aztecs baseball cap with the new SDSU logo, and the first 6,000 students will get tickets to one of five SDSU men's basketball games. The athletic department has also dropped ticket prices so that the cheapest ticket is going for $7 instead of its usual price of $9. It's cheaper than paying to see a movie in San Diego. The final masterstroke: If the Aztecs beat Nevada on Friday night, fans with Nevada ticket stubs will get free Field Level tickets for SDSU's Oct. 26 home game against Fresno State." Wow.

Well I was watching, but I skipped the first 3 1/2 quarters. In the bit I watched, SDSU's D looked just atrocious until overtime.  The defense was downright Gergian.  They did finally step up to stop Nevada in overtime though.  After giving up 3 4th quarter TDs, they were fortunate to hold on for the W.
