Over under on the amount of Uconn fans in the stadium with a big basketball game going on?

I thought they were playing another overrated Tom Izzo squad... no?

UConn ran the I-formation on 1st down and managed to get 6 yards.
Pitt's defense seems to be selling out against the idea that UConn might actually be able to put together a coherent drive, so no real direction here yields another big gain in the air. Huskies driving and arriving in the red zone.

Nice drive for UConn means gif:

"That powerful Husky offense....", he said, neglecting to mention the 16.6 points per game average, or the Connecticuit defense, which is best in the Big East at 290 yards yielded per game on average. Both are showing up here.
EDIT: Pitt rushes three, gives up 27 yards. That's 9 yards per missed assignment.

Pitt looks ready to #goacc
November 9th, 2012 at 8:44 PM ^
Was it that they took about 1/10th of the game to get into FG range on one drive, the missed FG, or a bit of both?

Wait.
It was that punt return. OFFICIAL.

HALOL @ Pitt
November 9th, 2012 at 8:47 PM ^
...looks kinda tiny, doesn't it?
November 9th, 2012 at 10:21 PM ^
Friday Night Lights... this is miserable football.

Run for a couple yards, run for a couple yards, sack. Sunseri shines on that drive.
...and the Huskies return the resulting punt for a TD thanks to some...hell...what kind of lane coverage was that now? Anyway, 17-0 UConn now.
EDIT: UConn starts to roll out the odd option play, possibly telling the Pitt defense, "We're going to do all sorts of sh*t...try to stop it." On 4th and 4, they punt and pin Pitt deep in safety territory.
DOUBLE EDIT: To be fair, Pitt did a quite a bit of bending before it finally broke. After a review, 24-0 UConn after the PAT.

Pretty much every Pitt fan right now...and rightfully so:

How did this team take the #3 team in the land to double OT?
Oh yeah, that's right... ND sux. Eventually the luck and favorable calls gotta run out for them right? right?

is ripping the heart out of its students/alumni/fans. They've found that the most effective way of achieving this is winning/playing lights out football against top teams while losing to inferior squads.
If you look back to last week's ND/Pitt thread, I called a win against ND plus a loss to UConn. It's just what Pitt Football will do, pretty much every time.

Not gonna lie.
Part of me wanted the shutout to continue, even though I have no dog in this fight.

I was just happy we made it a game after being down by so much...Still can't believe we didn't go for the onside kick at the end of the game but whatever. We won the second half, just not the first.

They can languish in Indiana-type mediocrity for all time and my universe would be unmoved.

I may have the most unbridled appetite for Pitt schadenfreude of anyone on the planet these days.
Yes, my ex-girlfriend went there.

David Brandon did not invent the Noid. The Noid was created in 1986 by local Ann Arbor ad agency Group 243, which at the time was essentially the agency of record for Domino's.
David Brandon joined Valassis Communications in 1979 and worked there until he stepped down as CEO in 1998.
