Friday Night Drinking
Because nobody had created one already.
Me, I'm doing just a little bit of work and sipping on a Beefeater Martini. Problem is, I'm now out of vermouth. Next one will have to be sweet or EXTRA dry. Hmmm...
But all the stores near me put a premium on it. It's supposed to go for around $30, but I can never find it for less than $50.
Drank it for the first time two weeks ago straight on the rocks. Not bad, but to me the maple flavor was pretty damn strong. I think I was expecting that flavor to be a bit more subtle so it may have taken me by suprise though.
yet but I've heard good things about it. I've seen a fifth go for around $35 but that's the lowest I've seen
drink it with oj and it taste just like pancakes
I was about to say that. I strongly suggest drinking it like that. Great morning shot
The maple is very "maple-y"...it's everywhere in Canada...never more than $40 for a 40 oz.
Crown and Coke. Emphasis on the Crown.
Sailor Jerry and Coke Zero.
Sailor Jerry, best damn spiced rum ever.
...and looking forward to the weekend.
beaten path some what. Sam Adams Imperial Stout. and foor an American beer imitating an antique beer it's really heavy creamy and Stout.
3 philosophers.....washed down by a kentucky burbon ale.
Fucked up? YES!
the sort of knowledge.....
Had a few Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ales myself over the past couple months. Yeah, they'll get ya good n'drunk.
Heading to the store now and am open to suggestions from the community. I am in the mood for some whiskey I think. Typically, I go for Jack or Red Stag but I am feeling a bit more open tonight and expanding my horizons.
rumple mintz. it never fails.
Driving down to florida. So red bull and diet mtn dew.
at the moment, but are you driving straight through?
I drove to Miami area with some buddies over winter break and we drove 26 straight hours. Oof.
pshh, drove out to phoenix in 30
Nah. My second shift won't start for a few hours. And yessir. We left around 2 from AA, and should be in florida by like 8. I honestly love driving straight through. But then again, I love road trips/driving.
The only part I don't like is when you're driving through incredibly scenic parts in northern Georgia and So Tennessee at 4 in the morning. Not the end of the world, but is always nice driving having a, well, nice drive.
There is nothing scenic about I-75 in northern Georgia, except the carpet warehouse just north of Dalton with the words "Beaver Carpets" on its roof. Southern Kentucky to just North of Knoxville is scenic, though.
drinking some Magic Hat #9!
Magic Hat has a dandelion beer called Pistil - it is actually pretty decent. Reminds me of a rye ipa.
The crutch. Vodka tonic.
Coors Light aluminum pints while relaxing with the Blackhawks game. Not a good start so far.
Tonight we Tanqueray.
Seconded
Trying Rogness Brewing Company OST Porter and it's pretty good.
It's 80 in Laguna Beach
Bottle of Brooklyn Sarachi Ace down, some Revolution Brewing Bottom Up Wit and A Little Crazy to follow.
Short's cup a joe
Old Fashioned
Been my drink of choice of late
And music. That is all.
Not super exciting, but delicious and drinkable
Bought a sixer of Fat Tire, sixer of Centennial IPA, a fifth of Knob Creek, and a 12-pack of Diet Coke. Anyone care to guess how much I spent?
I thought it was a lot, but in retrospect I guess it makes sense.
Home-brewed American wheat with the Citra dry hop!
Just started home brewing. First batch was a porter, tasted great, didn't carbonate as much as my friend and I hoped but still drinkable. Fermenting a red ale right now.
Been brewing a long time or a newbie like me.
Just open, add more sugar and cap again
And loving it! Just brewed a Belgian Blond this morning.
The wife and dog are away and I'm getting ready to paint the "man cave".
For this weekend I picked up--
--5th of Eagle Rare Single Barrel Bourbon
--5th of New Amsterdamn Gin (for martini's, love their vodka and I hate vodka)
--Sixer of Hoegaarden
--12 pack of the Champagne of beers
Now, I dont intend to drink all of that in one night (the liquor is for my bar) but I do intend to make a hell of a dent in it and yes, I have this weird affinity for cheap beer (PBR FTW!)
I'm with you on that. HOWEVER, I find it strange how I think bottled High Life is delicious but canned HL taste sour and gross. Anyone else with me on that?
I am with you.
That's just flavor.,, to a high life man
for very cheap up here in Canada!
Labatt Blue is one of my favorite beers.
Thirsty Dog Irish Setter Red -- Amazing! I love every beer they make
