I'm sitting here drinking my Oberon (Not OT), after doing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. It's all over ESPN and social media. I was thinking it would be a good thing if we participated here at MGoBlog. ALS is a terrible disease, and I've noticed we have some very charitable people on the board. Could be a good thing.
(I didn't want to make an entire thread about this, but I thought I'd just throw it out there)

is usually beer/ale (working on my 2nd Founders Pale Ale of the night right now), an occasional mixed drink or tow is something I sometimes enjoy.
Lately I've been seeing more people I know keeping some name-brand Vodka on hand. I'm a complete novice on that type of hard alcohol----what do you recommend/what's your vodka brand of choice?

for your vodka suggestions. I've heard of most of those brands, and theyre probably all better than the rot gut stuff that I used to buy cheap back in my college days.

Jack and Coke sounds great right now... Sadly just Bud Light here, watching Torii Hunter continue his parade of AAA-level at-bats.

Bulleit Frontier Whiskey with a couple cubes - outstanding. Ran out of Sweet Vermouth for my go-to Manhattan, but really enjoying some top shelf KY bourbon in its pure form.

FInishing out the Tigers game before moving on to a movie or two, I've just got some Hacker-Pschorr and the vain hope that we keep this 6-2 and get five runs in the bottom of the inning. Other than that, it's typical Friday night chilling / modding around these parts, aside from my neighbor just now deciding that something needs a chainsaw taken to it. I wish I was joking - that is pretty damn noisy.

Hacker-Pschorr is one of my favorites. It's rare around my area unfortunately.

Got one of those build-your-own six pack things. Guinness, Stella, Killian's (never had it), Oberon, Angry Orchard, and Vanilla Java Porter. Should totally make up for my plans falling through, no?

After dinner tonight, sitting on the porch on my 4th Tito's and soda. Life is good.
Fuck Notre Dame and Ohio...that is all.

About to watch the series finale of House now that the Tigers game is done.
Over the past few months I've re-watched the whole series (more like 6 months). I think the last season was actually not bad at all, really funny actually.

That "video" is great!
Did you put that together yourself or is there some website that has more?

Canoeing the Pine River is the reason I am familiar with that little town. Didn't know they had a music festival, but I sure do remember the great canoe trips down that river!
