Friday Night Drinking Thread
Eagle Rare on the rocks followed by a Hennessy Pure White on the rocks. Should have had the latter neat as it's not nearly as good on the rocks.
Yum. I like Moscow Mules, too.
A friend just gave me this shit called Grappa neat and it was not what I expected and my mouth tastes terrible but I have to pretend that it's good and finish it.
Is your friend's name Paolo by chance?
just finished reading a whole bunch of our present family book to the youngest 6 kids around the dinner table (yes, we eat way late). oldest graduated h.s. tonight, i'll spare all the humblebrag about grades/SAT's, and just focus on the fact that it was inside a completely non-ventilated gym, stiflingly hot and stuffy.
Congrats on getting the oldest one finished with high school. My oldest is now a junior.
we homeschool but wife deserves all the credit for that. as the kids get older, and primarily because we are such a sports family, we let the kids take a course or two at the local government school so they can play sports. Next in Line is now a Junior, Too. and after that a freshman, and after that, well, you get the picture.
and she's not D-1 caliber. that said, i have no concerns in my mind that all of the children no matter where they go to school will be die hard, rock-ribbed maize and blue supporters their entire lives. no doubts whatsoever. in fact, i think their fandom exceeds mine.
i wish we were blessed with more, but grateful for the ones we have.
My old standby
Constellation brand, off limits for craft-purists like me.
You sound like you have good taste in the beers.
I like to think so! It can be a bit snobbish at times if the rare place we go to doesn't have much on tap but I'm not against "slumming it" either!
The blood of my enemies.
Creature comforts, home brew saison and organic purple kush.
Bourbon and coke, cheap bourbon so needed to be mixed.
Ole standby...
