I made lasagna for some family - homemade sauce, homemade noodles, homemade ricotta, all surprisingly easy. Drinking some Lagunitas Sucks, some New Belgium Dig, and some weird IPA I found at the grocery store.

homemade cheese might be cooking's best kept secret. So little work, so much tasty payoff.
How the heck do you make homemade cheese?
Well for ricotta, you just have to put 3 cups whole milk and 1 cup heavy cream in a saucepan with a little salt and slowly bring it up to 190 degrees, then take it off the heat and add a few tablespoons of lemon juice and let it sit for 5 minutes to separate the curds from the whey, then pour it all in a cheesecloth lined strainer and let it drain for 90 minutes. What's left is ricotta.
red stripe tonight
From Alpine, near San Diego...called Bad Boy...yummy
It didn't go great, but not terribly either, so I'm conflicted.
As a result of my confliction, I started with a Highland Park scotch and have now moved to a bottle of ABC Red Snapper. I like it. An excellent hoppy pale, but the roasting process mellows the sharp edge on the hops.
My doctor suggested cutting back on carbs, so I thought I'd change from the usual beer to gin and tonic....then I read the ingredients and nutritional info. on the tonic water. Yikes. I guess I'll skip the tonic and just sip gin with a lime twist. And when I run out of gin go back to beer.
I was shocked when I discovered tonic has as much sugar in it as coke. That's why us women often choose soda over tonic. Vodka soda with a lemon is my old standby.
Detroit Brewing Co. - Sanders Chocolate Stout. Delicious to say the least. Oops just spilled a little on my keyboard.
WVU's student section looking like they wanna fight Marquette's coach in the postgame interview! Security got there in a hurry haha
Several pitchers of miller lite and two pints of Founders reds rye. 90 min before I came out. Two bars to go
I've not had enought alcohol to get up the nerve to come out yet. Congrats to you.

quick vote for "SEE ACT 2012": www.campuschallenge.uservoice.com
several mgobloggers (including me) are involved with a group called Students for Educational Equality on campus. We provide free ACT tutoring at college mentoring to 300 studets in Detroit, Dearborn, and Ypsilanti. We've been picked by the White House as one of the 15 finalists in the Campus Champions of Change Competition. If we get to the top five, we get to go to the White House and meet with the President.
unfortunately, we're getting killed right now by a bunch of other schools (mizzou, arkansas, princeton, brown, arkansas, umass....and grinnell. which has a grand total of 1688 students. it's not osu or msu, but we gotta beat them nonetheless). please keep forwarding this to people! unfortunately undegrads are all on spring break right now so we're having a tough time reaching out to people...
if you'd like to know anything more about SEE, let me know!
