Friday night drinking and preparing to say "Hello" thread

Submitted by team126 on

Not a warm day here in AA - still a good time to have a drink after a long week.

Ready to say "Hello" tomorrow?

Probably going to drink a couple New Belgium Shifts later. Taking it easy tonight in preparation for an all day crawfish boil and alcohol binge tomorrow.

This is a late drinking thread, but better late than never. Singlecut Brewery in Astoria. Half Stack IPA and a blues band. It was just about 70 in NYC today, and I witness an accident between a car carrier and a Ford Escape. Guess who won.

I restocked my bar today. I'm doing some Grand Marnier right now. I don't think I've ever had anything like it before. It's less like a spirit than a dessert.

So far tonight:  A PseudoSue from Toppling Goliath, an up and coming brewery in Iowa.  By up and coming, I mean they're making some world class beers, no hypberbole.  Also, from Iowa, a local brewery made Oak-Barrel aged Stout.

Watching the Pens head into Overtime with the Rangers.  Go Pens.

Not too much going on here right now - I am nursing a Sam Adams White Lantern and watching some Tigers baseball, so it is a nice, quiet evening here at the old homestead. As for saying "Hello", I am never averse to a good "Hello" post, but like others, I was curious as to what the OP may have heard or if perhaps it was simply a heads up that out-of-town friends shall be dropping by or something like that.

Former U of M wrestling star Joe Warren is fighting for the Bellator Bantamweight Championship right now live on Spike TV just as an FYI.

Edit: Congrats to Joe. Just became the first fighter ever to win belts in multiple weight classes at Bellator. Not bad for a kid from Grand Rapids.

Go Blue!
