You know, for a series or two, it seemed like Jacksonville State had MSU a little off-balance and not playing quite like they normally would, but all is as you might expect now and the Gamecocks have settled into simply taking their lashings with a side of blown coverage. Incidentally, Michigan State is approaching 500 yards of offense at this point, whereas Jacksonvill State still has 42 to get before they manage 200 yards.

Isn't the color guy former MSU QB Jim Miller? He's a slappy and isn't going to give any respect to Michigan. Earlier in the game he mentioned MSU's toughest games being Oregon, Nebraska, and OSU. I REALLY want to kick their butts in East a Landing this year!

I'm pretty sure he said CJ Brown the QB from Maryland. But DG really gets no repsect from people outside of the Michigan fan base. I saw someone compare him to Gary Nova which is down right disrespectful, since Nova is horrible,

AZ and RR on in a few minutes against UNLV. I was listening to a Detroit sports radio station earlier this week ( I know my first mistake), but the 2 hosts ( not Valenti or any other MSU homers) openly wished that RR had a better season than Hoke. I guess I just don't understand the vitriol in this area/state for hometown teams

Seems like more than usual, but maybe it's only the few that I actually noticed.  We surmise that Dantonio figures he's got to go for broke this year.

Sparty looked very good in the first half.  Jacksonville can't tackle.  My only other take away is that MSU needs Cook badly.  I get that the you're not going to see the same intensity in the second half but O'Connor didn't impress.

Rich Rod looks like he needs some Grecian formula.

'Nova kicker blows 25 yard FG near end of regulation to cause OT, after he'd made a 25 yarder to tie it. Each team kicked a FG in first OT. 'Cuse had a fake FG and TD pass from the holder to go up 27-20; 'Nova scored a TD and then decided to go for two for the win instead of kicking the extra point to tie and head to third OT period. 'Cuse stopped the 'Nova runner cold to seal the win.

Like Tyler Ennis hitting a buzzer beating three to beat Pitt in hoops last season at the Carrier Dome, Syracuse Head Coach and former Michigan Defensive Coordinator Scott Shafer escapes with a win.

Are you asking whether we would rather have the 2010 Michigan offense or the 2013 Michigan offense?  Believe it or not, many would choose 2010.  Negative rushing yards for multiple complete games may be your idea of doing well against good defenses, but not everyone agrees.  Putting up 158 yards total against Iowa (albeit with both positive running yards and positive passing yards) might be a great achievement in your book, but others might reasonably disagree.  Some of us would also take the 2013 Arizona offense over the 2013 Michigan offense.  Putting up 42 points on a fifth-ranked Oregon squad in a victory is something you surely discount.  I'm sure they would trade that game for our domination of Akron and UConn, right?
