Chilled Grey Goose is excellent to sip on!

I had 2 Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpins
I had 1 Ballas Point Sculpin
I had 1 Ballast Point Big Eye
...now I have 1 Ballast Point Mocha Marlin for dessert.
It's going to be a good night.
October 14th, 2016 at 7:30 PM ^
Dood I had to google that shit...looks tasty EXCEPT for I'm not a bitter grapefruit fan. Does that beer have a bitter bite to it?
October 14th, 2016 at 7:42 PM ^
But if you don't like grapefruit, but you like IPAs, just stick with the Scuplin.
I love the grapefruit because it's not overpowering (and I like grapefruit juice).
The pineapple, watermelon and mango are each to much for me...I don't want to taste fruit, I just want a hint.
...I'm not a HUGE fan of pumpkin beers, but the Ballast Point Pumpkin Down is AWESOME. It's like the grapefruit in that it's just a hint. Just enough so that you know it's there, but not so much that you won't want more than one. May be my favorite pumpkin beer actually because it's not overpowering at all.
Ballast Point and Bell's are my go-to's. I hear Tree House Brewing Co. is awesome, but I haven't found it in my area.
October 14th, 2016 at 7:46 PM ^
Love IPAs...the hoppier the better. Thanks for the review!
October 14th, 2016 at 8:00 PM ^
So far, Ballast Point pineapple sculpin is my go to from that brewery. I do not prefer fruity beers at all but BP does a good job with subtly. Here in Michigan, the biggest issue with BP is the cost. You pay a premium for it that's for sure...$15 a six pack.
October 14th, 2016 at 8:57 PM ^
You may not see this...
Just got back from the grocery and picked up "Pumpkin Down". Scotch Ale with pumpkin! YAAS! Very tasty. More of a Scotch Ale flavor than pumpkin.
October 14th, 2016 at 7:45 PM ^
Did you like the Grapefruit? Let me also preface that with are you an IPA fan?
Edit: I see you posted at the same time I asked.
October 14th, 2016 at 7:45 PM ^
Yes to both.
However, I've had people who aren't huge fans of grapefruit try the grapefruit and they all like it. Like I said above, it may be the best of all the Ballast Point beers...it's not overpowering at all.
But if you just absolutely HATE grapefruit, play it safe and go with the regular Sculpin. It's similar, just without the hint of grapefruit obviously.
October 14th, 2016 at 7:51 PM ^
Cool, thanks! Are you out west? I know you can get Ballast Point just about anywhere, but curious where your local beers are coming from.
October 14th, 2016 at 8:14 PM ^
Definitely the best grapefruit beer I have tried. They make awesome stuff. I'm curious about the Mocha Marlin now.

Shit Mack Brown is announcing this Louisville Duke game...3 hours of how wet water is :(

The team that scores the most points is most likely to win the ballgame-- Mack brown

That made me laugh and the sad part is it sounds like a direct freakin quote from the guy

I'm at Troegs in Central PA. Great beer. Drinking Solid Sender tonight.

Turned on the Louisville game to check out Lamar Jackson. Nothing personal against Jackson but I quickly found my self rooting for him to have a bad game and for Louisville to lose. I know it's a long shot but would help Michigan and Peppers for playoffs and Heisman voting.

I think your attitude is correct!

On my porch in 80 degree weather drinking Two Hearted Ale - a treat here in Colorado since Bell's does not distribute in CO.
October 14th, 2016 at 7:40 PM ^
Congrats on the weather and the beer!
October 14th, 2016 at 7:40 PM ^
Drinking Boulevard's Hibiscus Göse. I can't get enough of it lately. Creature Comforts (Athens GA) makes a Berliner Weisse named "Athena". Really good if you like tart beer.
October 14th, 2016 at 7:41 PM ^
MGo people love their designer beer I've noticed
October 14th, 2016 at 7:44 PM ^
I had never heard of the beer style Göse until about two years ago. Now it's all over the place. Check it out the next time you hit your local grocery. "Ready, Set, Göse" is a popular variety.

Can't go wrong with Blue Moon
October 14th, 2016 at 7:53 PM ^
Was out in Washington State last weekend for a buddy's 40th. He had a kegerator of blue moon. Put a lot of it away. Surprisingly, beer can be the breakfast of champions.
October 14th, 2016 at 10:40 PM ^
Man, you must never have tailgated for any of the noon games.
October 14th, 2016 at 7:50 PM ^
10-7 in the 2nd quarter Louisville...I can't help but wondering what Michigan would do to Louisville. I think Louisville would be destroyed by our D and their smallish guys would not last 2 quarters getting pounding to dust by our backs.

Wife & I enjoyed some a great Bloody Mary earlier and now on to Woodford Reserve!
October 14th, 2016 at 8:04 PM ^
Woodford is my go to bourbon! Wish I had some. Enjoy!

Tried and liked the Sculpin. Costco's 805 is pretty dependable.
October 14th, 2016 at 8:01 PM ^
No but I've been trying some of those Kirkland branded boozes and they are freakin good! 1/3rd the price of the name brand shit. They had a rye whiskey that looks and tastes just like Crown Royal (my favorite sipping whiskey) but was under $20 I thinnk for a HUGE bottle.
October 15th, 2016 at 6:58 AM ^
IIRC Grey Goose makes Kirkland Vodka. That huge bottle is such a deal

Go Duke!
More Carnage = More Better
Take Jackson down a peg on the Heisman list, and get Louisville out of the Top 10.
Win/Win for Michigan.
October 14th, 2016 at 8:04 PM ^
Somebody forgot to tell Duke that they're supposed to roll over.
October 14th, 2016 at 10:44 PM ^
Peppers for Heisman!
I was rooting for Louisville to lose, honestly. Besides the fact that Action Jackson looking mortal helps Peppers' chances, I still haven't forgiven them for 2013 and that bullshit blocking foul on Trey. Clean AF.

Mack brown saying duke could punt from the 22. What.
October 14th, 2016 at 8:59 PM ^
Pretty sure he is half way through a flask.
October 14th, 2016 at 8:07 PM ^
He might call a timeout to punt, most people with two brain cells to rub together would have taken the delay of game penalty if they were going to punt.
