The weekend is finally here!!! Hockey is back and some conference playoffs start tonight. I will keep you guys updated on a few games from across the country tonight.

I will update frequently before and after the Michigan game. During the Michigan game i will only update the Michigan score with the occasional update during Michigan commercial breaks.

Michigan most importantly needs to win tonight, but OSU beating Minnesota would be huge for Michigan.
Hopefully it's a 2011-12 Basketball scenario where they give Michigan a hand in winning the B1G Championship by beating a team.
in terms of the B1G regular season championship yes. when you look at Michigan's at-large hopes NO. Minnesota falling in the rankings hurts Michigan A TON
I'm a competitive person so I want the B1G Championship.
With a regular season B1G championship but no post-season championship and the last team out of the tournament?
and if Michigan takes care of business is that not being competitive? Isn't it more competitive to want Minnesota to be as high ranked as possible come B1G tournament time? If Michigan takes care of their business they win the B1G.
I'm very being very cautious. Michigan should have taken care of business a couple weeks ago in columbus.
Hockey is a weird sport. I'd like to have the championship already locked up so the team doesn't have a ton of pressure on them to HAVE to win out. The 1 seed in the B1G Tournament is huge also.
1 seed gets the earlier semifinal game. Unfortunately, we know why having the earlier semifinal is valuable when you have to play the very next day.
I thought you were being competitive not cautious?
We have been burned by having to win out to win the B1G Championship before. Not in Hockey, but just two years ago in Basketball.
I'll take the help. Again, this is only relevant if Michigan wins.
the thing is Michigan doesn't need to win out to win the B1G. they are in sole possession of first place. Minnesota is 3 points behind and Michigan holds the first tiebreaker as it stands right now (if Minnesota were to win and Michigan loses)
I want the Big Ten crown for sure, but right now we control our own destiny in that regard. I'm more worried about making the tournament, where we're on a razor's edge.

I'm heading up to the 1st round ECAC playoffs in Potsdam, NY tomorrow. Should be a good time.
I'm kind of shocked that ESPNEWS is going to be doing this OSU-MINN game tomorrow, as well.

I miss Rico and his band of midgets. Like I miss hating them. They were probably our chief non-MSU rival since my time as a fan started (2008-Present). Those were always great series
