Friday Bowl Games

Bowl games are already starting today. I didn't see a thread so I thought I would start one. The Military Bowl is first up. The M.A.S.H. Unit that is Maryland is down 7-14 to Marshall in the first. Maryland had atrocious field position on most of their drives but isn't playing stellar defense either. If they can avoid another string of injuries I don't see why they can't finish fourth in the division next year.

Question: If Michigan can't get the win tomorrow night, does the B1G win a bowl game? It seems "our" best chances might be O$U against Clemson and maybe Wisky, but the outlook looks grim...

I think it is true, but through most of the first half of the 20th century, they only played 8 or sometimes fewer games per year, and it wasn't until 1960 that they played 10 games.  Add to that, and the only bowl game for Big 10 teams back then was the Rose Bowl, so unless they finished in first place in the league, they didn't go to a bowl game.
