Mason NEEDS this, Pistons, after all you've put him through
Friday Bowl Games
No and then!
when he 1st went to Maryland. Thought he'd get a "better" job at the time. Now that he's in the B1G and our half, he'll get to show what he's got. I do think he's a good coach, given what he did for UConn.
Hopefully, Lions take O'Brien from PSU and Brady proves this year was a "mulligan" year for his coaching staff. We won't have many easy coaching match-ups in our half of the B1G.
Probably the worst taunting penalty I've seen. The Marshall QB got a flag for signaling first down after a 12 yard run. That was ridiculous. They have gone too far.
in the week one WR broke stride running into the EZ. His TD was nullified because of his "Unsportsmanlike conduct". A few series later the WR from the other team running unopposed into the EZ did one of those dives and a somersault. No flag.
On the way to Reliant in Houston to watch the Texas Bowl. Should be a good game and at least it doesn't have a stupid sponsor name. Let's go Orange!
why the Bluebonnet Bowl wasn't resurrected.
Maryland loses a running back to a leg injury. I don't know what god they pissed off but I don't want him in the big ten.
I could be wrong, but didn't they lose both Stefon Diggs and Deon Long to broken legs back in October? If there were ever a team recently that has had an unbelievably bad run with injuries, it might very well be the Terrapins.
I know they lost Diggs. Didn't they also lose like 8 QBs last year?
They lost both top receivers in the same game. They showed a graphic earlier that on offense alone they lost eight players for significant time this year. Although to be fair they included the long snapper in that. Also, who loses their long snapper?
What all games are going on tonight?
In addition to the Military Bowl going on right now:
6 PM on ESPN - Texas Bowl - Minnesota vs. Syracuse
9:30 PM on ESPN - Fight Hunger Bowl - Brigham Young vs. Washington
Thanks that was very helpful. I'm at work so I'm not able to watch any of the games. Not could I check who was playing later. Hopefully Minnesota plays a good game against Syracuse.
I can't wait to watch the Texas Chili Bowl.
to pull this one out. If so, have to chalk this up as a B1G in waiting bowl victory.
Let's all hope the big ten goes 2-0 in their new team bowl games.
Gotta watch out for those MAC teams.
Pathetic clutch D, Maryland. Looks like you'll fit nicely into the Big Ten next season.
Ugh. I am more and more impressed with Maryland and Rutgers everyday! So glad to have them in the Big Ten. Maryland loses to a Conference USA team and Rutgers is managing to implode everything in their athletic department in less than a year. Thanks Jim! You're a real smart guy.
She sure scared the hell out of her players at Tennessee. And she played for Nebraska. Probably more of a "man" than Gene Smith at Ohio ;>)
These refs blow in these games.
I don't understand how they could possibly miss that. At all
If anyone is interested at all, Maryland gave up 475 yards to Marshall across 79 plays, so the average was just a little over 6 yards per snap. Of that total, 337 yards of this was in the air. Interestingly, this means Marshall managed 0.392 points per play, so this was actually only marginally worse than the average Maryland defensive performance. Makes you wonder what they could be in the Big Ten, no? No? Anyone?
How do they rule that down on the field? Could it be more clear?
who is officiating, Ess Eee See? In any case, they should have spent some time looking for his lost contacts.
Didn't seem like a TD to me.
Never mind, looked just barely good.
Coach Jerry Kill has been sighted among the Gophers on the sideline.
Minnesota is not looking too good right now. I was finally able to find a stream of the game that I could get on, but it's not looking too good for them right now.
TD Minnesota. They went for the 2 point conversion and failed. Syracuse 14, Minnesota 9
Nice pitch and catch between the QB and what I assume was one of Minny's tight ends.
Minnesota 17, Syracuse 14
Minnesota takes the lead 17-14 after the two point conversion. The passing game is doing it for them. It would be great for the big ten to start off with a win. Got to play defense now.
2 point play? They ran the same play before and after the false start penalty. I have it from reliable sources that doing it is a sign of poor coaching.
From my viewing It seemed different. The guy in motion didn't set to run past the qb, but pulled up and blocked for the guy who caught the TD pass. Call it a wrinkle
If I jump out of a plane to save 30 minutes of landing time and survive because I landed improbably inside of a truck moving pillows, was that still a good decision?
These teams sure love to run the ball don't they? Although that Syracuse qb has had some nice passes. Still, a run on 3rd and 7? Weird.
And then they blow it on special teams. Of course.
I was just typing a comment about how Minnesota needs to keep them out of field goal range in order to get a bowl victory and a 9 win season when they decided to give up a huge punt return... Wow!!
Allow a 70 yard punt return to your 14? Jesus, Minnesota.
False start Syracuse, will be 3rd and 8.
Syracuse leads 21-17.
Cuse wins 21-17, BIG TENNNNnNN!
CATCH THE BALL!
