Does Michigan even acknowledge it on their site since he was kicked off the team?
Will be interesting.
Positively insane. 2nd round?
I think he'll do very well in the NFL.
Hopefully he takes full advantage of this tremendous opportunity and keeps his nose clean.
Makes me wonder how that OSU game would have turned out if he'd played... and who would be our coach right now?...
I have to say it all plays out the same.
99.9% sure you're right
Looks like I answered my own question. While they didn't post about it themselves, they did retweet it, thus, acknowledging it.
Congrats to Frank Clark! Two Wolverines in the 2nd Round! #GoBlue

I said this on Twitter, but even if he hadn't been involved with the law multiple times, I wouldn't have taken him in the second round. He just didn't have great production in college, aside from a couple games.
Late 3rd/Early 4th round talent to me. One dimensional player, which is fine - especially on a team like Seattle (see Bruce Irvin), but still the value wasn't there for a 2nd round.
Nonetheless, good for him. Hope he does well.
Let's just all not have an opinion on anything because clearly the smartest 32 men in the world when it comes to football are head coaches in the NFL. The smartest man in America is the President. The smartest man at your job is the head person in charge.
Of course Pete Carroll knows more, but that doesn't mean we all don't get to have an opinion, even if it's a differing opinion.
GMs, coaches, owners fall in love with certain skill sets and this is how it goes down. If it works it works but there are so many extenuating circumstances that makes a player a good pick that it takes years to determine.
Eh. Probably not the worst argument, but right up there with some of them. The thing that is missing in his/her argument is that there should be some consideration for Pete Carroll's decision based on his current position. If you consider what Pete Carroll might know, determine that he might have drafted another at that pick that was a better fit, then make a logical argument as to why, then that really is the point of a message board, no?
All that was really said was that Frank Clark was drafted too high - which does not consider the things that Seattle might be dealing with in this draft or in the near future. Example of that being Indianapolis - they picked a wide receiver in the first round after signing Andre Johnson. Also have TY Hilton on the roster. Reason being that Andrew Luck is up soon for a massive contract, as well as Hilton up for a decent pay increase, and Johnson is a short term sign. It makes sense if you look at the overall team future, but the immediate reaction is to wonder why they picked a WR.
Yep. We should all roll over and die and not think about anyting because other people get money for some of the same thinking. If someone is more qualified than us than we are of course stupid and wrong and our opinions should die in a fire.
but not me.
/S
Was anyone expecting him to go this early BEFORE he was kicked off the team?
Pretty shocking.
NFLOL
I'll be honest - this is not where I would have seen Clark going, but I was cued in on Twitter to some of the high marks he got from a couple teams and indeed it looks like his draft stock made some late jumps in the eyes of some. In any event, good news for him and we'll probably be seeing him on Sundays at some point. I imagine we might see Jake Ryan go tomorrow - rather interested to see where he goes too.
I'm quite surprised he was taken in the second round. Good for him.
If anyone can take a chance on him, it is definitely the Seahawks. I think Pete has a plan for Clark and Clark could be a very good player in that system.
I also expected him to go later.
Good luck to Frank the Tank!!!!
that was kicked off the team? I can't remember any. I don't know how to feel.
it's seattle.
Double WOW
Not only are you saying anything can happen, but you believe anything can happen to the point that you defend the non opinion. Real talent, don't waste it on making the world the same place. Use your talent and run for office, that way you can make sure what ever happens, happens.
You've been given a great opportunity with one of the best teams in the league. Your past has been forgiven. Do. Not. Screw. It. Up.
Wishing you luck, my friend.

That feels like a bit of a stretch. He obviously has some physical tools, but his production, plus his off-the-field issues, doesn't scream 2nd/3rd rounder.
I don't get people's issues with Franks production. He was a force every game from mid 2013 on....maybe he didn't have tons of sacks, but he forced fumbles, and got plenty more tfl's...and he showed throughout his career that he could come up some big plays, even get into the end zone. I think everyone is overlooking his real talent because the 2013 and 2014 teams sucked. Frank was good enough to be a regular starter on a Lloyd Carr defense and if he had played under a coach like Carr on a successful team no one would be surprised with his second round selection.
His production was inconsistent. He had some solid games (such as Penn State and Northwestern this past season) and was capable of some great plays, but he also had some games where he made 0 tackles or 2 tackles against some cupcakes. Ohio State and Kansas State completely neutralized him toward the end of the 2013 season.
I don't really agree with your point about playing on a Carr team. Glen Steele had better production (14 TFLs, 7 sacks), was a 4th round pick, and never really did much in the NFL.
It's not really about whether the team was good. Defensive ends don't have a ton of control over whether the whole team is good or not. It's simply about what Clark brought game in and game out. For all the hype in the offseason the past couple years, 4.5 sacks in each of those seasons isn't all that impressive.
"Frank was good enough to be a regular starter on a Lloyd Carr defense ..."
Did you mean that as a compliment? If so, you should probably specify which Lloyd Carr Defense vintage. They weren't all good.
Okay.
I acknowledge the guy is fulfilling his dream of playing in the NFL.
He still embarrassed the University of Michigan multiple times. That doesn't need to be swept under the rug.
What he did was inexcusable, but how exactly does it show a clear pattern of abuse? I think you're really reaching there.
