and Hitler loved dogs.

No one is taking Tressel to task for good deeds; in fact, a good number of us,, while previously suspicious, have generally thought him to be on the upstanding side of the equation. The real difficulty is that such outward demonstrations of probity and good citizenship are shattered by the hypocrisy of someone who has been caught up in the sense of invulnerable hero-status. "Vici, ergo sum" - I conquered, therefore I am, and therefore I can justify what I do, believing that if I do it it is justifiable.

The timeline that the article details is dammingly clear, and so elicits all the more outrage when set aside Tressel's self-serving attempts to explain away his wrongdoing.

Am I the only one bothered that this article, which correctly wants to focus on facts and dates, lists the following as an indisputable fact:

"Tressel played quarterback Terrelle Pryor and wide receiver DeVier Posey the entire 2011 regular season when he knew they were ineligible because of NCAA rules violations."

I agree with the article, but who edits these things?

received.  Isn't that part of this crime as well.  The NCAA was duped by Tressel & co so OSU can actually be competitve in the game.  They win, get 12M or so, Delany's on board with the whole charade and all anybody's concenred with is Tressel getting canned.

While I want to see him flogged and kicked out of Div 1 football, I'd like to see OSu be forced to pay back the Sugar Bowl money and dumbass Delany have to explain his lobbying for OSU and backing all their decisions in this.  Why can't he loudly recommend Tressel be suspended??  Why, because OSU has been his cash cow for a decade.  Delany is a shill in this whole 'Ponzie' scheme.

That reads like an indictment, and maybe that was its purpose. Whether or not that was the intent, it's pretty tough to read the article and not draw the conclusion that Tressel and his operation stink to high heaven.

I'm not kidding.  I'd like an increasingly damning story on the Tatts-For-Toys® scandal from a major news outlet each day from now until the beginning of the football season.  It's like sunshine on a rainy day.

I might eventually get tired of this, but so long as the stories are increasingly worse ... more please!

He is the ultimate jack off.

He got fired from his job on the Buckeye Flagship Radio station.

He got fired for a complete loss of listner audience without Herby years ago and now Spiels or someone else to cover for him.

This guys voice is nails on a chalkboard hard to listen to.

So he gets fired at the start of the Tressle stuff and convices himself that it is the evil OSU fans and OSU that fired him.

No, he was fired for being bad on the radio.

As such he has launched multiple shots at OSU, JT and the fan base.

Hooley and Herby are OSU's Freep during the RRod area for Michigan fans.

"Tressel lied; he cheated, and he engaged in a prolonged cover-up.

That’s quite a hat-trick of misbehavior, one few rogue coaches in the annals of the NCAA’s worst rule-breakers could match."

Men can do good works and still be frauds.  It happens.

Facts to OSU fans are like kryptonite to Superman. Every day the University stands by Tressel, the more idiotic and corrupt it looks. OSU is officially becoming a joke of a school.

The catalyst to bringing down OSU will be the local media/state papers. If the journalists actually do their job, and point out just how incompetent tand corrupt he school is by standing by Treacherous Tressel, the sooner he will either be fired or step down.

But here's the thing. The school can't fire Tressel. That time has passed. What they will do is to force him to step down. Either way, OSU is like Nixon. The cover up is what will bring the school and the program down.

The biggest question is how the NCAA will handle this. Will they roll over and gently slap OSU or will they actually do what is necessary and serverly punish this dirty program to fullest extent the NCAA can? My bet is that the NCAA will find it's testicles and spine and hit OSU hard.
