This post got me thinking... Has there been a serious effort yet on this site to make formal "requests" for piped-in music?
Even if you are against the piped-in music, you still have to resign yourself to the fact of its existence. And then the next logical thought: if it's not going away, then let's try to improve it.
I know we've all discussed our opinions about one RAWK song or another (and usually in jest), but how about a competition? How about some voting?
How about a process, as of yet undetermined, that delivers to the Big House Rawk Music Head Honcho a list of ten songs approved by Mgoblog and its legions?
That's what I'm talking about.
I do think the michigan band should come up with some new songs i know that much .. and i'll tell you what i HATE and i'm only 21 the YOU SUCK chant that the student section does .. It is sooo dumb i think the only time we shoudl EVER do that is when we are up on a team at the end .. i get season tickets every year and we are getting blown out and and beat by other team and they are chanting you suck it's like Really this is Stupid .. We need to come up with new chants and possible different ones for each team .. Kinda like that LSU to Tim Tebow thing that was originally and funny .. I just think for a school with students as talented and gifted as U of M we could come up with better stuff than U SUCK lol

I agree wholeheartedly (and don't know why people are negging you for this). Hate the You Suck chant. It was funny the first time I heard it. Now it comes across as a mindless, boring drone. Thank you for bringing this up.
well i was on number five for the night .. Lakers/Suns game so sorry if it was a little harder to understand but the point i was trying to make is a valid one

I have season tickets and have had them the last three years .. so i got to hear that stupid U SUCK chant during the UTah game , the TOledo game , OSU game ...
Muse's "Uprising" is the perfect pre-MMB intro song. "Thunderstruck" is beyond cliche, and, even the casual fan knows "Uprising" if they watched any ABC football last year - it was the music going into breaks.
I wish someone in the Athletic Department would give it a try.
I get that Uprising got a lot of play last year, but Knights of Cydonia and Supermassive Black Hole are ridiculously awesome stadium songs.

...the make your suggested play at the games list, I sent them just that. Figured it had a beat fans could clap to, hadn't been taken by any University yet, like everything they were playing, and had VICTORIOUS in the lyrics. This was in September. Obviously they didn't take my suggestion. I always wondered what they felt like watching any games October through Bowls, when it was played during every broadcast...
ya those songs would all be pretty cool to have .. i would just like it if we had songs that everyone knew so the whole crowd could get into it .. i mean even if they are classic songs from the 60's and 70's would be very cool .. idk if you guys ever watched a soccer game (and i really don't like soccer boring as heck) but the fans are amazing and it would be so cool to take that and put it into a football game .. it would be very very cool IMO
