I really think the injuries de-railed his career at Bama.  He enrolled early, and I remember reading Bama people thought he looks really impressive in his spring game.  It's just amazing that Bama can lose a National Player of the Year recruit, and not even blink about it.

but I've spent a great deal of time in Colorado since I was a small kid, and it's an awesome state. Still kills me I'm not living out there.

I will always remember Dee Hart. I made an account earlier in  the day so I could follow the live stream for his announcemt after his game. I was so pumped he committed to Michigan and was hooked on mgoblog since that day. Too bad it didnt work out. Hopefully he does well at CSU.

It's unfair for us to say what he should or shouldn't have done and we don't know the full story, but man, watching some of these guys try to find playing time at these programs completely filled with talent can be frustrating.  Obviously we're biased, but even just having that Michigan education would have been a bonus.  Again, I have no idea where he stands academically and whether he has a real shot at the NFL, but from an outside perspective, that Michigan degree looks like it might have been a better option.

Best of luck to him regardless.
