Former MSU Basketball Player Appling To Jail For One Year
I know he's no longer at MSU, but should this be red locked?
The bad part about him NOT being at MSU is that he won't count for what is sure to be their record Fulmer Cup victory.
Rumor is Appling started carrying a gun after Trey Burke stole from him and nobody came to help!
Love this!
I love the aftermath pic of Burke's second steal (right before the buzzer). Bonus +1 to anyone who can find the pic where someone shopped Appling's hangdog look on all of the other MSU players in the frame.
MSU. He got away from the strict discipline (coverup capabilities).
Chris Carter is synonomous with a bag of shit.
Who's going to be the fall guy for a NBDL bench warmer?
Probably just the beginning. I am sure he can earn an mdoc number without much effort at all.
I thought the headline said "MSU player applying to jail". So Sparty.
I think a case could be made that jail is more selective on who it admits.
That's why they have smarter alumni.
I am shocked. Shocked I say. In fact, here's my shocked face.
Wasn't it just a year ago that he was arrested for having a semi-automatic handgun outside a club?
78.3% of all statistics are made up.
Yes, but that was a *fully* semi automatic handgun.
Getting pickpocketed by Burke in the closing seconds of the 2013 MSU game is all he's ever going to be remembered for around these parts.
Perhaps he's suffering withdrawal symptoms from a local crackdown on spartan activities
He's probably still carrying something concealed up there, for safety's sake let's just hope it's merely
WTF is up with this program? I don't even know what to say anymore with all the stuff coming out:
1. Football team implodes in sex scandal
2. Dr Nassar
3. This guy and other alumni screwing up
How is this NOT lack of institutional control?
Appling got into trouble in school too. IIRC he sexually assaulted a girl and got no punishment for it.

Yep, I agree. Want to see more kids escape from their circumstances and from endless bad choices.
Unfortunately most programs continue the sense of entitlement.
Given the rumors surrounding Appling and Payne, which hopefully will come to light with all the attention being focused on MSU currently, all of this is hardly surprising nor is it surprising he would feel he could get away with it.
Jail=no basketball court.
Prison=basketball court
Ergo, not a lot of floor slapping this year, perhaps down the road.
They'll be able to start a Spartan block at the local prison.
