Joppru is probably my favorite M TE ever. He was great.

Hard to pick between Joppru and Jerame Tuman. I lean toward the latter.
Still, both are great.

Tuman was also great, but a lot of my great memories of Tuman are because he was on such a great team. If Joppru was our TE in '97, I think he would have been as good or better than Tuman.

That's selling Tuman short. His best season receiving-wise was actually 1996, and his career totals (98 rec.,1,279 yards, 13 TDs) were astonishing for a tight end. Tight end was an extremely deep position the whole time Tuman was there, but he still was a three-year starter.
Joppru's career totals were 85 receptions for 800 yards and 8 TDs. The bulk of his production came in his senior season (53 rec., 579 yards, 5 TD). Prior to that season he was considered a bit of an underperformer.

I prefer Tony McGee.

the guy who supposedly hit 50/50 on the Wonderlic? If so, Pryor might want to consider hiring him as a tutor.

He still tutoring Mario Manningham. 4 years in the league and he's still trying to get a double-digit score.

I don't think Joppru has 5 years to teach Pryor how to read.

Not sure about that, but Drew Henson scored something like 42.

I vote Joppru over Tuman.

My older brother was in Bennie's class in High School. There was a game where he broke a rib and punctured one of his lungs. He still scored two TDs, but had to come off the field after pretty much every play to take oxygen. Guy was a complete beast, too bad it didn't work out for him in the league, but he sure was great as a Minnetonka Skipper and in the Maize and Blue!
